Boston set to Restrict knife sales!Are you kidding me?

The article says its already next to impossible to to purchase a handgun in the city now they say you cant have sharp objects. These seem like the steps towards a police state if you ask me. Besides, even if they ban these weapons other weapons will take thier place. I really dont even have any words for this it makes me so sick!!!!

Boston is not set to ban knife sales.

The Boston City Council will meet tomorrow to vote on the ordinance, which would require a licensing process for the sale of knives. Boston already dictates the type of knives that can be sold, but this new legislation would allow the state to continuously keeps its hands on anyone who sells everything from Swiss Army Knives to machetes.

A licensing process? Let me guess. You'll also have a 3 day waiting period to take home that deadly new Chef's knife.

Come to think of it, we better license fingers too. You could put someones eye out with those.

This isnt fear mongering, they are banning the sale of knives without a license, which is banning them

Perhaps someone who lives in either nation can clarify, but didn't the nonsense of knife laws start in Australia and England where knives seem to have become the far away favorite as the weapon for violent crime?

I suppose it was only a matter of time before the nanny state mentality decided restricting them here made more sense than trying to address the problem which causes them to become weapons in the first place.
