I definitely can feel people's auras/vibes. I'm also a massage therapist, so for me...I can also feel pain without completely touching my clients.
It's an odd sensation, and actually one that led me to my career. I knew when I was 13 I wanted to be a Massage Therapist. I always knew I could
feel where the pain was before I ever touched anyone. Even now, 5 years later, almost all of my clients eventually say it amazes them how I never
have to ask where their pain is.
And to add to it, I'm so incredibly sensitive to other people, I generally don't allow people to touch me. I personally dislike receiving massages.
It's not comfortable from most people. And certain individuals touch actually hurts. It's like when you wear a hat, or have your hair up for too
long... and you let it down - that kind of pain that comes with that? That is what it feels like to me when someone I have a very bad vibe about,
touches me.
I think the other reason I chose my career is specifically because I can touch people without pain... but can't BE touched. So, maybe it's my way of
getting human contact on my terms.
In school, we did an experiment during our Anatomy class to test how close together our most superficial nerves were. The test involved two pins and
we all teamed up. One person would close their eyes, and the other would take the pins and very very lightly touch a body part - arm, hand,
back...etc with either one pin or both. Then the person being touched would try to determine if both pins were touching, or just one. The person
holding the pins would hold them so the pins were close to touching each other, or an inch apart. I was the only person in the entire class that got
it correct 100% of the time.
So, maybe it's just being super sensitive, maybe it's the ability to sense energy or electricity, or maybe it's the ability to sense vibes/auras...
but one thing I do know, is I have never been wrong about my initial gut reaction towards people I meet.
Another interesting experience - while I was in school, we had a blind student who singled me out the very first day because she knew she could trust
me. We did absolutely everything together from that point forward, and have been best friends ever since.
Oh - and I've always attracted people to me. Strangers go out of their way to talk to me. Anytime I walk in a room, heads turn. I never noticed it
until my mother pointed it out. And then my ex-husband, and then my brother, and my current boyfriend all pointed it out too. I figured it was
because I'm tall - but even when I'm already in a room, it's nearly a guarantee that when someone walks in the door, I'm one of the first people they
look at. Sometimes it's a little weird...and I've learned to not look up anymore, because as soon as I do - heads turn. I was at a Greyhound bus
stop once, and I was the ONLY person that nearly every single crazy person came and talked to. The rest of the non-mentally-disturbed people just sat
and stared. One guy finally came to my rescue and asked what that was all about. He basically became my bodyguard the rest of my time at the
station. Even the security guy watching everyone made a comment that he had never seen the regular "crazies" act that way towards someone.
I've been called magnetic, too nice, attractive, and even SHINY! I had one guy come through my line back when I was a cashier, and tell me that the
reason he waited in my line was because of how magnetic I was. I was startled by the comment, and looked around. I had a long line of customers,
when there were registers nearby with NOONE in the lines at all.
haha, it's funny, as I'm recalling these memories, it's bringing back even more... so I'm going to stop there
