prayer does it make a difference?

Prayer does make a difference to the individual and for those who connect with that individual. It is ridiculous to think Prayer should be used as a "wish list" e.g. "God, give us a new telly", because it has never worked like that and if you hold that attitude you'll be disappointed.

Prayer allows the individual to be reflective and introspective and this can be highly positive.

Whether there is God involved is of course up to the person involved. I suppose none of us will know until we kick the bucket.
