I am not sure this post belongs here so please mods feel free to move if necessary. So around appx, 820pm this evening in albuquerque nm my husband and I were talking at home and all of a sudden we heard what at first what sounded like dumpsters being dropped across the street. It then started to get louder and was obviously not dumpsters, but whAt sounded, like mortars or the transistors exploding, and or all out war. After about five minutes of this we decided to call it in and the 911 dispatch said that she was sending them right away. The sounds got so loud that, our windows were rattling and our floors actually shook as well. Around 845 I went outside and saw that,it was actually fireworks. Its just that we were close enough to see them but why couldnt we hear people cheering, I know we were close enough for thar because any other time there were fireworks near enough to see we could hear crowds, especially at the end. We live within walking distance of where they shoot them off. My husband and I both are old enough,to have exprienced a huge fireworks display many times. And neither one of us feel like they were "fireworks". I recorded the sounds which I will try to post below, doesnt do it justice but you can hear that there are no people. Finally, I just found this news articleonline when I was searching for an advertisement for a city fireworks show. m.kob.com...
I am not sure how to embed an audio recording from my phone. Anyhow I wanted.to post this because it seems to me like a perfect test by tptb to see who complains, who calls 911, how we react to chaos like that while disposing of their waste explosives n calling it a celebration. I feel like its nbs
Heres the audio
edit on 4-9-2011 by apocalypticangel because: can not figure out how to post the audio..help

Could they have been so enticing that people kept silent throughout the display? Did you hear the crowd after they finished?

I was thinking that too, but no after they were finished, its like the entire nighborhood, went silent, not even cars, which was even more weird. Nothing.

It sounds like they did it at night. that is a no no in many cases.

It makes for a dangerous condition due to blast caused fires and unexploded explosives being thrown about and possibly overlooked the next morning.
It hides flying objects thrown from the blast area from being seen by people in the area.
It also hides the smoke from burning explosives.

On Sunday, September 4, 2011, the Albuquerque Country Club will be hosting for their members their 4th Annual Labor Day Fireworks display. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 8:00 p.m. (or dusk) and should be finished at approximately 9:00 p.m.

The Albuquerque Country Club would like to remind all their neighbors to take the appropriate measures to safe guard their pets. The fireworks display will possibly be loud and this may frighten pets.
