Prominent leaders of two Baptist churches have special sermons planned for Sunday, Sept. 11, which is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the United States. One sermon promises to discuss America's "inevitable collapse" while the other is to be delivered by Dr. Tim LaHaye, known for his popular end times book series.

First Baptist Church of Dallas has released a video promoting a new sermon series beginning Sept. 11, that discusses America's "inevitable collapse."

Are we witnessing America's last days? That is what Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Dallas, asks Christians to consider in his new sermon series entitled "Twilight's Last Gleaming."

When America declines fully it won't be like the UK: small enough to keep it's population fairly rich, more like Russia at it's poorest.USA is just too big to keep things together in a decline.

America will only remain the land of the free so long as it is the home of the brave. We are all to blame, we have put off paying the piper and much like a crack head or a meth freak we spent more and more and more. We put so much energy into shouting certain behaviors and choices aren't WRONG and now far too many of our young consider them to be RIGHT.

We have raised a generation of overweight, dummied down (by our schools) and self absorbed youth. Parents have lost control in many cases and gangs and drugs replaced our love, care, supervision and discipline. The only thing our children rate number one in the world anymore is SELF-esteem, isn't that a scarey thought?

I pray we still possess enough brave patriots to pull our country though the days ahead, but our founding father's warned of the dangers in many of the choices we have made. Each of us is responsible for being less than diligent in many areas of life from voting- to holding our children, our leaders and ourselves accountable for choices and actions that were unwise and selfish.

The academic elites have reduced these great leaders of our country in school books, no wonder many children don't know who they are! I have a 7 yr old grand daughter in the second grade who did not know who George Washington was until she asked me why his birthday was a *big deal* and I explained to her who he was. She also informed me one day that competition is bad. When I asked who told her that she explained everyone knows this! This is what our children are learning and not learning and all the while we spend more and more on education.

John Adams said that if we ever lose our Liberty that generation will not see it again in their lifetime! He also said that should we not safeguard it he would regret the sacrifice he put into helping provide us with it. Benjamin Franklin said that if we become willing to give up freedom for safety we would deserve neither. I pray enough of us have been diligent and wise enough as citizens, parents and voters to bring us back from the brink.

It is time for America to make some hard choices, from the laws we pass to the personal effort and sacrifice we are willing to invest in remaining The Land of the Free. If we fail we will see the end of the American Dream and the dominoes will fall- from one end of the world to the other.

The ones that risked their lives, and fortunes and families to make us the greatest nation on earth in the history of the world would be sickened by how little we valued their efforts
