Ok, so I just finished replaying metal gear solid 4 guns of the patriots, a kojima production, and realized something that relates very well to topics discussed on this site quite regularly. I obviously didnt realize this connection when I first played through in 2008 but it is there.

Spoiler alert!!!!

I'm not going to go over the contents of the entire series but its basically a series that bases itself on multiple conspiracies.

So, the basic plot line of this "episode" in the series is the rivalry/competition between two brothers ultimately brings rise to a new world order where society is free from the tyranny of government control. In mgs4 these brothers, solid and liquid snake, are refered to as two suns, the sons of big boss (no spelling errors present). There is an act specifically named "the two suns".

Well, in 2008 this did not stand out to me as I had not been introduced to the related subject but now I have seen it presented several times in multiple venues. I find this an interesting bit of information, not because I believe the two suns mumbo jumbo, but because it represents the connected consciousness of reality.

Believe what you will, and reality will will what you believe.
Christopher E.

I recommend this game series to anyone, its quite riveting.

Have you seen all the two suns threads? And the new world order threads? I've seen some connect the two in implausible ways.

Basically I'm saying that its weird that in 2008, well 2005 (when the plot line was written), this connection was already made, most likely by coincidence (which I don't believe in). I don't actually think that there is another sun anywhere close enough to consider part of our system. this is also an interdisciplinary subject, if you haven't read some of the two suns threads, I would, it'll help you understand what im talking about. two actual suns are not seen or mentioned in the game, its the spelling of the word suns in an act title connected with the ultimate end in the game, a new world order. just seems strange if you look at wording and subject matter. the two suns ultimately bring a new world order. the other stuff is simply philosophic mumbo jumbo.

No two suns eh? nibiru? did you know it is supposed to be having its own planets, just like our sun, clearly visible in all of the photos of it released from the south antarctica telescope? (which you have to search to find, granted, but they are there)

I enjoyed the gameplay of the earlier games better. This was just too much movie for me. Not enough game.

BTW just got my title........

Confer the title of.... EAGLE.

First playthrough on this account and PS3........
EAGLE, FROG, LOBSTER, HYENA, PIG, COW, CROCODILE, PANTHER.

All caps is how they're written in game, no t & c violation here.

Next play through I'm goin for no kills since I over did it with the killing on this playthrough.

I have never played the game but it sounds like it might be the story of Saturn. You should look up Saturn worship

I don't see the appeal in not killing someone. The effect is largely the same when using a tranq but in situations where gunning won't screw you over I get way too excited and kill everything in sight. But good ratings!

I'll have to look into the threads; I always figured it was a play on words, sun/son and their importance to the world and influence within it whether good or bad.
