Honeymoon in Bahamas & Miami in a few Weeks - Irene Hurricane :(

Hi everyone,

I haven't been around here for a while because I was busy getting married etc.

A few Weeks ago I booked my Honeymoon to Bahamas and Miami. Since then the hurricane Irene has taken shape.

I just really want some information from anyone living in these areas as to if it's safe to visit the above mentioned areas or if I should try to change my destination.

Looking forward to hearing from you all, my honeymoon's booked for the 10 of September.

It's LONG past those areas.

I live in Florida by Port Canaveral and the ships are still going out, nothing was changed here.

Thanks for your help, I'm in UK and here on the news etc. they just keep telling us how bad it is and that millions have had to evacuate from other places.

From what I remember, last night, they downgraded the hurricane but my wife is quite scared with all this. She saw pictures of Bahamas etc. with trees on the ground etc.
