Hand Surgery Experiences

I had surgery on both hands 18 years ago for carpal tunnel syndrome, and
am now recovering from carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery on both hands. I did mostly manual labor type jobs outdoors before the first operations and then mostly secretarial work after that. Anybody else here had this surgery and had to have it repeated? Or if anyone has questions about it please feel free to U2U me or post inquiries in this topic.

My mom had carpal surgery a few years ago, but none of my siblings developed this condition. I'm wondering if there isn't a co-relation between female hormonal changes and this condition, as I developed it when pregnant and then now after getting on female hormones for peri-menopausal symptoms. Anyone out there have any websites/info sources related to that possibility?
