Well the Iraq on my Earth is divided between multiple groups. And just like in any country with social cleavages, one group can be more violent than the other. Bombs can go off one place, while Top Gear has drag races on th other side.

Never judges a country based of a few events. Unless you're willing to look at it all, you simply aren't.

IT WAS BASES

Nothing more.

They wanted military support. Libya was to double sided because the leader was not fully sane.

well luckily, no bombs have went off in my country today or this week. so i guess it is not just like every other country.mof, you could put at least 50 iraq's into my country. so by your logic there should be tons of bombs going off in my country this past week.

sorry but iraq is still a mess with no clear plan for the future in sight. unless you ask iran on what their plans for iraq is, we have no clue what to do with it. but hell who cares anyway we secured the oil fields.

I know, I remember seeing the BBC one. It's so sickening seeing the masses of Indians and they are trying to say that those where the Lybians in the square. We have become the Soviet Union, truly.

I just read this post start to end, and yeah it took a while. Gotta say, it seems like two or three members are trolling this thread real bad. Seem to have some kind of real interest in it, and at the same time, saying it's not important.

Personally, I think this was one of the better threads I've seen on ATS in a while. That this was marked as a hoax so fast by so few speaks volumes.

That reporter may well be scared, but why does he not talk about the NATO warship that is alleged to have brought in the Al Qaeda death squads in 'Operation mermaid dawn' His research centre has already said as much on their website, so not much point in not talking about it.

Did it ever occur to you that someone in Gaddafi's regime may have planted this information, so that he could somehow discredit the rebels or United States?

Since the internet is filled with unfiltered information, would you want to question why the story exists in the first place? Maybe question the motivations of those who are sharing this information?

Just giving you something to think about.

I assume you are referring to the first photo. Yes, of course it occurred to me. It would be foolish not to consider that. However, apart from the fact that the footage in the AJ news does not look authentic to me, there is all the other information in the thread....

These journalists seem to be seriously in danger.

I thought I was pretty clear. It's a lighted area. You know as in a city. Unfortunately the light doesn't have anything to reflect off in the sky so it's black.

Journalists are our recorders of events, our "eyes" on the scene. The fact that journalists are being threatened and killed is very telling in and of itself.
Keep up the good work wcitizen. You may not know it, but our paths have crossed before.
This is war, and many good people of the Earth are already fighting for their lives. We have to do more.

No actually that's not good logic. Space does not equal division nor population distribtuion. Russia has a lot of land, but not a lot of people. England has very little land, but a lot of people. Good job, that's called a logical fallacy.

As to bombs, I don't know what country you are in. Because not every country has social divisiveness. I know here in America we get the occasional bomb. Be it at time square's reqruitment center, or some crazy man killing abortion doctors. Crap happens.

Yes, but no but, no. It is he who mentions Al Qaeda, out of the blue.

ohh so there was a bomb going off in america in the past week? dont think there was. sure there was packages that looked like bombs or even fireworks. but no destruction or death by a bomb in america this week. or last foor that matter.
it is not a happy place in iraq, and there are different sects of people in iraq and in america. but iraq is not america. they dont wanna be. dont ya get that. they dont wanna be us.
so leave them the hell alone and quit making up lies about how great iraq is now because of what america did. we also put saddam in power, bet some thought iraq was better then too.
they will only be bettr if people leave them the hell alone to owrk out their own problems.
damn!!!
