My idea for a real life cloak.

I'm not sure if this is far fetched or not, but this is my idea for a real life cloaking device.

Would it be possible to make lots of micro-cameras to video whats happening on one side of a person/object and also displaying it on the other side. vice versa. So now we have both sides of a object displaying live whats happening behind it. Might be a little foggy but could it still work?

thats actually a really good idea, and put it on some sort of clothy or atleast bendable fabric such as... a green screen or a projection screen?

Too bad you didn't think of it first. DARPA is always one hundred steps ahead of you....never forget that. For ten years at least I have seen reports upon tech shows upon documentaries discussing this technology. Basically my thinking is....if I thought of it, somebody smarter has already done so and developed the idea. So, no billions for you and me.

!!!!! that is an awesome concept. it would be a heck of an undertaking, but i think you've got an idea. how awesome is that!

i love reading stuff like this. IMHO most anything someone can think up may one day become reality. look at sci-fi movies & comic book stuff of the 1940's & 50's. mankind far surpassed most of those once far-out ideas a lot time ago.

yep already been done they have a different one also where they actually behind the light around the cloak making the person inside inviz.
eta they used it to cover the dash of a car for a car show a few years back you could see the road threw the dash it was awsome.

Your concept has already been done however just to show how complicated they're willing to get on this kind of stuff:



Compared to the level of complexity involved in some of the lab work they've done already a complex of cameras and mini screens seems like a simple solution...

you need to look up organic led. I have had that same thought for about 4 years now. But it was its issues first off shadows people cast shadows #2 out line of the person #3 heat signature #4 angle and perspective. You will need to add in some type of optical illusion. Good luck I'm in the computer field right now and trying to figure this out.

It's been posted on YT in a number of places (it's an insurgent video that was recording to catch a roadside bomb that exploded earlier - you can find the full length vid on YT if you search...bomb blows up & tank stops then another tank comes and then the 2 humvees and then...)

A US soldier in active camo runs across the screen and jumps into the tank- looks like some predator stuff...very cool...obviously in the field already - I'm sure it's high level spec ops only stuff at this point...cool vid none-the-less

It is a good idea, and the concept has been around for ages... I saw this in t-shirt form around 15 years ago, (though it only used 2 cameras rather than an array of paired pixel/sensors, which is the current cutting edge technique). Here is a "do-it-yourself" version from Hack A Day.
