Well they are definitely not poorer anymore. Besides the technology has gotten cheaper. The real investment was made in Innovation and Reliability by both US and USSR. I did not see China or India do the same during the cold war days. Sure now that space technology is widely used, they can make it cheaper by making the proven technology under copyrights. Nothing new here.

On the bragging front, I would like to ask a question...'Who was the first to have sex in space?'

Obviously...they must have their own space airlines in the works.....I just wonder if Richard Branson...will now add a hotel.

Before any of that, Virgin Galactic would need a vehicle to get in to orbit. They don't have one yet, heck, they don't even have any plans for such a spacecraft right now.

All virgin galactic has right now is a sub-orbital plane, which is completely useless when it comes to getting in to orbit, and therefore to any space hotels.
