So I'm listening to "Wherever I May Roam" from Metallica in San Diego, 1992.

Why does the powerchord at 5:01 when the camera moves around Lars sound so much more powerful than the normal guitar sound of the whole song?

its a hammer-on with VERY high gain. not that hard to pull-off (see what i did there).

So it's a hammer-on with very high gain. Just that? Then why didn't he do that with the other powerchords? It would have sounded so awesome!
