I posted an article previously written by Me, and published on My website.

I included links to other relevant pages holding information which corresponded to the article I posted.

Was this, because it was rather lengthy and already on My website, a violation of the ToS?? :shk:

The link doesn't work so it's hard to say.

If it's your own work with supporting links it should be fine but without knowing which post you're talking about it's very hard to say.

Maybe you should use the complaint/suggestion feature.

OK,Yeh I saw that.

So what's the problem?

It would have been trashed if it was against the TOC.

I just reread the ToS and I didn't know.

The only problem I see your posts and the TOC is item #9

9.) You will not advertise or promote other discussion boards or websites on ATS without prior written permission from me (Simon Gray). You will not use ATS to bash other boards or engage in so-called "board wars".

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Your avatar certainly breaks the TOC.

One thing that staff have to deal with on a daily basis is people using ATS to promote/advertise products and websites. From porn and books to other discussion boards.

This site aims to be free of such promotions for the sake of the general membership.

Many members here have their own websites.Though their names do not suggest which boards.Often they link to their own sites and that is fine but to use avatar, signature, and links to promote might be considered a little impolite.

Most likely... from the Terms and Conditions: 8.) This is not a personal publishing forum. You will not post long material (over 500 words) that pre-exists on the Internet without prior permission from me (Simon Gray).

My site isn't a board. It's a site.

Yes, that's the one I was talking about. Mmkay. Won't do that again. Or if I do, I will paraphrase and condense.

Mentions sites also. The part in bold. It is not limited to other discussion boards.

*sighs* Okay. I can't post supporting links to anything I write. Got it.

*finds somewhere else to post*

Whats the beef, chiefs?

If she wrote it herself then it should be cool to post, she should in fact be wary of posting because she's granting you reproduction rights.

As for the avatar links... isn't it considered kosher to link if its the persons own site or not?

People aren't gonna run from ATS the second they see another link guys, give em more credit than that.

Well thats just my 2 pennies.
