Bachmann claims she worked for the IRS to ‘know’ her ‘enemy’

How radical is Rep. Michele Bachmann? The Minnesota Republican claimed Thursday that she went to work for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), after graduating with a degree in tax law, because it was part of a secret plan to take them down.

“I went to work in that system because the first rule of war is ‘know your enemy,’” she said Thursday in South Carolina. “So I went to the inside to learn how they work because I wanted to beat them.”

Bachmann has taken some heat in recent days from supporters of Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX), who’ve criticized her for being a tax collection attorney for the IRS before she came to politics.

There doesn’t seem to be any evidence that her latest excuse is true, but she has said repeatedly that her experience in the IRS helped form her views favoring a simplification of the tax code.

So, let me see if I have her logic correct. In order to know your enemy, you have to join forces with your enemy, do your enemies dirty work for 4 years, while getting paid by your enemy, and THEN you will really know your enemy! So what has she done with this knowledge? Anything? And what knowledge would she have gleaned that couldn't be learned through other venues BESIDES joining forces with the enemy for 4 years?

As I have stated previously before in this thread, the IRS is the STRONGARM of The Fed:

Bachmann was a tax attorney for the IRS. THE FED runs the show, period.

That this woman is even a serious contender for the nomination baffles my mind. I know the Tea Party has thrown out a lot of bat# crazy people into our national politics but she really takes the cake. What really scares me most though is that if she never ran for the nomination we would not have known exactly how crazy she is. Imagine how some of the people, on both sides of the aisle, truly are in our government but we just do not even know it.

For me the only real adults in the room during that debate were Jon Huntsman, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul, the rest seemed a little out there. Michele Bachmann is so crazy that I would actually prefer they take her out of the race and put Palin back in, she would be saner than her.

My question is, how did we allow ourselves to sink so low that someone like Bachmann would not only be taken seriously and elected into our government but is allowed to walk the streets without a psychological evaluation.

She is a liar like most politicians. Her voice makes fingernails running down a chalkboard sound like an angelic orchestra. SHE is the enemy.

Makes perfect sense.

I've heard of plenty of former IRS employees that go on to become tax attorneys and end up facing the IRS in court. The experience of being on the inside, they say, helps them.

No big deal.

And next on Presidential Idol, we have Romney talking about how he wants to cut spending by having poor people work.. And how Sarah Palin wants to give everyone a free hotdog on their way to the sweat... work........

(Disclaimer: I own the rights to the term Presidential Idol.. Use as much as you want, if you make money on it I want a cheezeburger with fries at nowhere...)

All I say is that my CPA once worked for the IRS and, brother, he ain't no fan of it.

And I ain't no fan of the gal, but don't dismiss her claim. Check out where she has been standing on such matters before you judge that as a false statement.

my tax professor hated the IRS. He was a lawyer for them too.

There is a ton of turnover for IRS professionals because they get a much bigger paycheck fighting the IRS.

That is the question indeed, my dear mis. It has been suggested in some threads that her straw poll votes were bought, however.

Most of these sociopaths can keep their cool while in the public limelight. But like you said, she makes Palin look like Ghandi.

Whatever you said must have been pretty good to get 6 stars, but pretty bad to get removed.

Her proof would be her anecdotal account...which is extremely credible. /sarcasm

That's odd. I thought she went into that line of work because her husband commanded her to.

Stories change everyday. I wonder what she will come up with next?

So Rick Perry is calling Bernanke a traitor and Bachmann is calling the IRS the enemy. Interesting, although I think they're both lying.

Indeed, Bachmann's story will continue to change I'm sure.

Perry is being endorsed by BOA, FYI:

The same reason she works in politics, so she can "Know HER Enemy". Just like her husband offers the gay conversion kit, because they really need to know their enemies.

What a piece of work, huh? She'll never win president, she just makes all the other lame ducks look that much better, which doesn't say a whole lot.
