I'm curious to know if this has crossed anyone else's mind. I was reading a book on UFO crash/retrieval incidents (not Stringfield, although he's
cited a lot), and the idea came to me that some of these things could be equivalent to the probes we launch by the dozen at Mars and Venus. We toss
unmanned orbiters and landers at other planets like million-dollar candy, so why would extraterrestrials not do the same? Spot a radio signal coming
from some cosmic backwater, and toss a probe at it to see what's going on.
