Obama didnt order this bus, the secret service did... This bus will be passed down to the next president and so on, its not like Obama is taking it home with him after his term... Secret Service was behind this, not Obama, if you have a problem you should probably be complaining about the expenditures the secret service are making...

Do you really believe that the President is constantly dealing with the secret service telling them what to spend and what not to spend??? “The vehicle had to support the weight of security and communication equipment that we had,” Ed Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service, said in an interview. “Our understanding was that that was the only model that could do it.”

In the past, the Secret Service leased buses for presidential travel, but had to retrofit them to add security measures and enhanced communications capability. Then the buses would have to be stripped again – “at great expense” White House spokesman Jay Carney noted – once they were no longer needed.

The monstrous, shimmering black buses cost the service $1.1 million each.

To you and the post above yours, while presidents should indeed enjoy the normal benefits that accompany the office, Obama is sitting during the worst economic crisis since the great depression. One would think that he'd be a bit more frugal with his expense account so as to set a good example, not to mention the savings of millions of dollars. But no, he is just a drunken conventioneer fattening up his expense account on the taxpayer's dime. Probably because he knows he's a one-termer.

Don't forget Congress and the Senate also approved this somewhere in one of their pork barrel projects. People listen - just vote them all out whether you like them or not. The only option we have besides that is bloody revolution and there are still too many in the middle class that are comfortable and turning a blind eye.

Unless a Freedom Of Information Act request is made, the true cost may never be known.
America has been attacked before, and recently.
A very little stretch of the imagination is needed, to visualize an escape pod that Marine one would recover from the bus. Transporting the pod to Air Force One (or in this case, a local golf coarse) would insure the safety of the POTUS. And were talking Millions of dollars here.

All the money he has wasted will soon come to an end. His poor performance on the 1st debate, proves what a poor choice of a POTUS he has been.
