I love dogs ..this video is extremely cute.

I always see human family members welcome home the troops..it's neat to see the furry family members welcome home their loved ones..

Thanks for posting this up, I would go home on leave every 2 years or so and my folks dogs would always get excited. The cats would remember me but would be mad for a day or two because I was gone for so long, then they would warm right up.

I have 2 labs and we left them with a friend for 5 days last year for a vacation..you would of thought we were gone for 2 years when we got back by the way they were acting.

I couldn't imagine leaving them for two years. I'm a bitter hard cynic, but when it come to my dogs that all melts away and I'm a big ole softie.

Dogs don't have egos like man to get in their way.

I understand what you mean but being stationed in Japan it was a bit of a travel to get back home so I would take most of my leave there. I would mail home used socks every now and again, which apparently helped, the cats would grab both then one of the dogs would grab one from the cats, from what I was told it was funny every time the socks arrived.

That's great-Dogs never forget their human's!
Near the end of the vid the guy is saying"That's it,dog has said welcome back"but the dog has only just started,he's sniffing the ground where that guy walked, making a picture of where he has been.
It's only just sinking in for the dog-his buddy is back!!
He won't leave his side for all his leave.

When I come home after being gone a few hours, after my big girls jump and say hello they settle down then they wait until I sit down then the welcoming home continues..both of them have to get on my lap..and they are 90lb plus..lol
