Purpose, to enjoy myslef, all else is futile.
That does not mean enjoying myself at the expense of others, as some theists conclude.
I help those i choose, and it makes me feel better about myself and the world around me.
Being remebered, as someone else already pointed out, is pure ego.
And pointless,
think how big the multiverse is, and how long it's existed, being remebered does'nt seem to matter now huh?

I don't expect to be remembered, certainly not long term.

Now, here's the kicker for you. I suspect THIS is not all there is and I suspect we survive death. Theists have a very simplistic view of atheism. They usually "stop at the shock of it all," deride the issue, and never explore or investigate. On the other hand, atheists can be just as simplistic and throw the baby out with the bathwater.

You can believe in life after death and still believe there is no god. That's the point.

OP, i'm pleased to see your mature aproach and desire to learn what drives atheists.
I'm kind of curious and would like you to answer the questions yourself.

And no, I don't have a purpose as you see it. I want to live my life, I don't have purposes like, let's say, telling others how to live theirs.
