who are the anasazi

just as the title reads. who were they? where do they come from? just any information so i know who they were

Having visited the Canyon DeChelly last winter, I do find them a facinating picture. I wonder if the reason we cannot find any trace of them beyond the canyon, is that they moved to an area that the federal government controlls. THey do controll a large chunk of the southwest and perhaps there are the remains of thier final location. Nellis, Groom Lake, Kirkland AFB, all are posibilites.....
