While it is possible this could have been faked, it looks too fluid to be a hoaxed video, at least in my opinion. So I will go with authentic. That was hilarious! It may not have been funny if someone actually got hit, but it looked like the monkey was shooting a bit low.

He probably ran off with that weapon, will learn how to use it, sneak back in for some ammo at a later date, and then terrorize the jungle. The funniest part probably was him raising it above his head at the end. Haha, priceless.

According to youtube comments this seems to be some extra footage for "Rise of the apes" movie, so i don't think this is real.

I think this is the 5th time now that this viral has been posted.

Some people should read the youtube comments first before they post stuff on ATS.

Hmmm. I did an ATS search on "monkey shoots ak47 into crowd" and didn't find it. I just got this today in my inbox from "Brasscheck." Sorry if my post is redundant.

As far as this being a hoax, I don't think so. One comment from a youtube viewer say:

Pretty sure this is an ad for the new Planet of the Apes...

This is not verifiable proof to me.

There is no indication that this was made as an ad for Planet of the Apes, or that it was hoaxed at all.
Edit to say: Maybe the gun isn't a real AK47.
