Thought I'd throw this little event out to you all.
Some of you may have heard about it before, but this time, I was there to do a little video
The Plymouth mega ride is a gathering of bikers of all ages and bikes of all sizes, shapes and colours.
Once gathered, they begin to set out for the ride into Plymouth and up onto the Hoe, which is a well known location right next to the sea.
Each bike/rider is asked to donate a small fee and all monies collected go to various charities.
This year saw an approximate gathering of around 5,000 bikes. Weather was ok, a few small heavy, but brief showers with skies clearing.
BBC news have also covered the event, but maybe not as much as some would like.
Thousands of bikers haven taken part in an annual charity motorcycle ride in Plymouth. Organisers of the seventeenth Mega Ride said about 5,000
motorcyclists attended. The bikers travelled about 30 miles, from Lee Mill Industrial Estate, to Marley Head and finished on Plymouth Hoe. Riders
raised money for two charities by donating £3 at the start of the event. The Chestnut Appeal for Prostrate Cancer and the Starlight Foundation for
Children are to benefit from the donations.
Please note that the video sounds as though a gale wind is blowing... it's not.. it's motorbike engines running
I'm sure some of you will enjoy looking at some of the stunning bikes, unfortunately, there was just too many for me to go around taking pictures and
videos of..
