Apocalyptic movies???

I like the post-apocalyptic movie based off the novel of the same name.
The Postman

My favorites are Knowing,The core,Impact(tv serial),I am legend and omega man

My favorites are The Road and Equilibrium.
The Road is post apocalyptic and Equilibrium is a dystopian future flick

2012, Knowing, The Day the Earth Stood Still.

The one that scared me the most growing up was The Day After.
It was all based on scientific facts about what would happen in a nuclear exchange between the soviet union and the united states.
The actual mini series was 6 weeks long, but when you buy the movie now it is cut down to two hours
Here is the part where the nukes go off.


There was also a UK movie along the same lines that was just as good and animated!


This movie was from the UK's perspective of a Soviet nuclear attack on the UK.

Both movies were chilling and very "real".

Yeah, you remind me of this one as well. This movie really had an impression on young hhcore - kept me awake nightly thinking the ruskies were going to kill N. America.
