Well, Norway might have low levels of MRSA because of the cold climate too. MRSA likes a really warm comfy temp to live in. I actually found that icing an infection localized it and aided it draining and healing much better than heat.
Or Tea Tree which wipes out just about all bugs (MRSA included) at 0.1% concentration.
