Okay this is quite an interesting story where we have

A - Riots in Vancouver

B - Riots in London

Both places had riots causing a lot of damage but the only difference is that none of the looters and rioters in Vancouver had charges laid against them

Hundreds of charges have been laid against those in London, this may be more of a rich vs poor thing because as well, about 8 incidents have been reviewed by the crown

well i live in vancouver so let me quote the paper. there is a comparison page.

VPD chief Jim Chu says at a June 17 press conference
"both provincial and regional resources will be switfly used to apprehend those responsible, we are fully committed to tracking these individuals down and arresting them for their crimes"

tough talk, thats good, we wanted that,

but it turns out that now Jim Chu is changing it up a bit.

now he says
"there are many challenges in this investigation, given the sheer amount of evidence that investigators have to go through, our objective is to make sure we have a complete package when we bring them to court"

so obviously they weren't prepared for anything like this.

Yea true, in turn I see a lot of topics talking about riots in North America, its the same deal no one here would be prepared but we won't do anything if it involves the government.

England was better prepared at handling this.

The London riot is at least 10x bigger than any thing that has happened in America and Canada in the past 25 years and thats being conservative, there was rioting and looting nearly every where in london....
