The names of the U.S. military persons killed in Afghanistan, when a helicopter was shot down on August 6, 2011, have been released by the Pentagon.

It was the worst single-day casualty for Americans since the Afghanistan War began in 2001. Of a total of 38 persons killed, 30 were Americans of which 17 were Navy SEALs and 8 were military personnel from Afghanistan.

Of the 17 Navy SEALs, 15 were from the top-secret unit that took out al Qaeda’s Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in May 2011. Five of military men killed were from conventional forces, three were Air Force air controllers, and five were Army helicopter crew members.

This article lists the names and military assignments of the 30 military men who were killed in the Afghanistan War on August 6, 2011. Actually, 38 persons were killed, but 8 were Afghans. Despite the on-going debates about how many military personnel were killed and what branch of the service they were working with, may they RIP.

I have for the most part shied away from the OBL conspiracies.....
However if it is true that a good chunk of these Seal's were on the supposed OBL team, my red flags are flying up!
Then they report the very Taliban individual who brought down the helicopter was killed shortly there after...I am calling BS..How the hell would they even really know! Cause I am sure in the moment of craziness that ensued someone was jotting down names....
The crap they feed us is so ridiculous!
RIP men who hopefully didn't die for nothing

I say this as someone who lost a friend in Iraq...and really I cling to hope it wasn't for nothing

Releasing fictional identities would be a very wise move at this point... Releasing their actual identities following the above revelations would make their families etc. targets.

None of the SEALs on that chopper where involved in the Killing of OBL, from what I have read they were not even in the same squadron

Can you prove that?

Have access to the highly classified information?

Please, share it.

Latest news says...

Of the 17 Navy SEALs,

15 were from the top-secret unit that took out al Qaeda’s Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in May 2011.

How do you think radical Islamic terrorists cells will read that, and then go through the list of names?

Better send all of those associated with the named into the witness relocation and identity programs ASAP!

Too late for those who have already given interviews in the media.

But, they have given them something to focus their intentions on for now, so maybe that is a good thing.

The problem people have is that they are getting all their information about the SEALs form the internet and what they are reading in the News papers. The name SEAL Team Six was originally intended to confuse the enemy at the time of SEAL Team Six’s conception there were only two other SEAL Teams 1 and 2. Now SEAL Team Six is not even a SEAL team, of which there are now 9 plus two other “vehicle delivery teams”, these are tier two Special Forces like the Green Berets.

SEAL Team Six is actually called the United States Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG) and it is tier one, completely separate from the other SEAL teams however it is commonly and inaccurately called SEAL Team Six. In the media and on ATS this has lead to some confusion, SEAL Team Six sounds like a team in much the same way as a Football team but this is not true. SEAL Team Six or NSWDG is actually divided up in to 4 squadrons (I have read possibly 5) and in each squadron it’s further broken down into troops and those are father broken down into small man patrol groups. The size of NSWDG is classified however the ball park figure quoted is usually between 250-350.

The men involved in the operation Neptune Spear came from Red Squadron, the men in this helicopter crash were from Gold Squadron. The OP talks about “Of the 17 Navy SEALs, 15 were from the top-secret unit that took out al Qaeda’s Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in May 2011.” What that most likely means is that 15 where from SEAL Team Six and 2 where possibly form another of the SEAL Teams or is talking about Snipers form Black Squadron. The important thing to remember is this, red squadron killed OBL, a troop from Gold Squadron was shot down in the helicopter crash.

This biggest problem is ignorance

............ was that enough for you, you know you can find that information out for yourself and do some ignorance denying it’s not “highly classified”.
