That's some serious damage in 5 days trading.... -1000 points. And the news doesn't look good for tomorrow either. Oh boy

A funny thing about graphs, depending on the time-scale used, it can show the same data in a different light. From the O.P's link, change the graph so that it shows 3 or 5 years instead of the default 5 days.. Now how does it look now?.

Great Mr. Chart expert, now compare the way the prices are plunging to different times in our history, compare how it's falling to the beginning of the '08 recession for example. This is huge whether you understand that or not.

my thing is I usually use Yahoo for the charts, but they had weird formatting which killed the link to where I we should have went to so I took CNNs site,

remember the days when realestate & houses were being 'Flipped'.... we are witnessing the same mindset...but this time it's day traders/hedge funds/ HFTs/ speculators/ casion minded market players


the sanity and ordered processess of the 'Market' are now in the control of the Gamers & market players who are definitely not 'Investors'

the foxes rule the stock-market hen-house... even the fund managers are getting befuddled
in trying to buy-sell equities.... because a lot of them are handcuffed by certain rules that the fund must comply with... whereas HFTraders and stock market casino players can focus on one-two-three stocks all day long & both make profits and kill the stocks capitalization in keystrokes with a trading account !

This signals a serious downtrend! Looks like we might be in for a ride here in the short term for sure!.
