Ever Notice How Things Happen During the Dog Days of August?

We're definately in the dog days of August. All the major news anchors are on vacation and, aside from the politics and the hurricane, things are focussed on trials, celebrities etc.
Thinking back, rationally, I can remember several occasions when big things have occurred at such times: the Russian (failed) coup attempt against Gorby, the invasion of Kuwait etc....
I know this is just a subjective feeling, but I'm getting that August itch...the feeling that "something is in the air". Of course, I've reported these feeling on ATS before and been lampooned. However, my last "feeling" said "something" would happen in 72 hours and, within 72 hours we had Tom Ridge and his terrorist alerts for NYC and NJ. I'm not claiming to be a prophet or psychic. I just get these odd feelings.
Anyone else feel this way or am I the lone soul?
