I was expected to be some strong activity on Sun, is first very strong but good thing is we did not have more X class ..

I got alarm for this strong eruption before 5 min ..

I think is from sunspot, in last 10 days we have to many sunspot in direction to Earth end is good to people monitory this activity ..

We got very strong geomagnetic storm end I expect strong EQ end Volcanic activity for this X 6.9 if he coming to Earth direction ..

My last thread is only introduction for this events because people did not take attentions for connections of Sun end Geo activity end I need some lol staff like predictions to take attentions for this connections ..

This one is big X class end I don't like him, we need 2 hours to see this CME on STEREO or 4+ hours on SOHO end time to bee sure for direction ..

X ray have speed of light so need 8 minute to come from Sun to Earth, solar wind need 2-3 days ..

It's pointed at us? What are the implications? I'm afraid my knowledge of solar discharges is woefully small.

My guess would be that its a much stronger flare. I'm not sure what the effects could be but whatever they are they will be more severe than the one earlier this week if it is directed towards earth. Probably not much but still greater than the m class flares.

This is a very large flare in my understanding, if it is pointed at us we would most likely see some of those affects we keep hearing about.

I will toss up a nice link to a flare chart

LINK

A X6 flare triggered a radiation storm around Earth nicknamed the Bastille Day event.

The Bastille Day Flare or Bastille Day Event was a powerful solar flare on July 14, 2000 occurring near the peak of the solar maximum in solar cycle 23 Active region 9077 produced an X5-class flare, which caused an S3 radiation storm on Earth fifteen minutes later as energetic protons bombarded the ionosphere It was the biggest solar radiation event since 1989. The proton event was four times more intense than any previously recorded since the launches of SOHO in 1995 and ACE in 1997. The flare was followed by a full-halo coronal mass ejection and a geomagnetic super storm on July 15-17.

GUYS this doesnt need to be pointed at us directly, a flare is all around outwards of the sun what we've been seeing so far(past couple days) is CMEs theyre just pointed in a direction usually smallre then X class. THIS is massive. THIS is potential SHTF. we need more experts on this. pretty sure the other ones before this have been smaller with much more damage that occured along side them. (the earthquakes n such) BUT we will see only time will tell guys

ETA: no solar flares can still be directed for stronger impact dont get me wrong

This one is bigger than that too, I'm headed outside right now to see if i can catch some auroras (in Alaska)

They wouldnt appear so soon.

Solar flares have little effect on Earth. They can cause problems for satellites and temporary interruptions in communications.

This flare probably originated in Region 1263 which is on the edge of the Sun. It is likely that any CME which was associated with the flare will not be Earth Directed.

NOAA site says :
X-ray Class: X6.9
Optical Class: 2b
Location: N17W69
NOAA Scale: R3 - Strong

Location suggests it is not pointed at us.

Again??!
I cant believe that you're still going on about this given how dismally you failed last time.
Are you going to give another timeframe so we can start counting down?

This eclipses the X 2.2 we had back in February, which happened to be the largest flare since December of 2006. Things are certainly starting ramp up on the sun and around our solar system as we head towards our solar maximum.

It was Earth-facing.

It also caused a 10cm radio blackout. www.swpc.noaa.gov...
