sounds like a satellite flashing, sometimes they get really bright, brilliantly bright then fade out as they crest, i used to think they were Ufos until they were identified by Nasa for me. they are kinda cool though.

what you are wanting to see is extremely fast tracking satellites or ones that you can clearly see aren't outside in earths orbit, and are flying flat, not with an arch and at low altitude

Yeah.. because that makes a lot of since.. What you want pics or i don't exist?

You started it with your stupid comment .
Show us pics of your birth , if not , we have to assume it didn't happen .

I would prefer you to assume it never happened.

I already came to that conclusion .

Here's something I found that might be interesting.

komonews.com

If and when we get a crystal clear night around here, if you look up at just the right time, you might a tiny flashing light moving slowly across the sky.

But it's not a plane's beacon. It's NASA's nanosatellite NanoSail-D -- the first solar sail ever to orbit Earth.

According to Spaceweather.com, observers in Europe have sometimes seen the bright light on the order of a 1st magnitude star, which is bright enough to be easily seen with the naked eye.

Take a look and see if it fits the description

No, UFO sightings do not happen every second.

Your angle on this, although posted for the right reasons, does not pass the sniff test.

I did not start a thread claiming I am a real person anyway, so I don't need pictures of my birth. Even if I did and posted them your next response would be "photoshop" so what gives my fellow ATS'er?

Good. Then it's settled.. Neither one of us exist..

With your logic.. I don't exist.. Therefore you don't exist, Unless of course i am a figment of your imagination.. Then you would be insane.. Typing to your self and all.

Definalty not a satellite flashing. Way too bright and it was more circular.

N3k9Ni - Just taken a look it does actually sound similar to that but it was stationary. After the 6th time it didn't flash again.

Point taken .
It just pisses me off that we ask for hard evidence and as you rightly pointed out , even hard evidence can be manipulated , so why ask for it ?

Example.
A: I have seen something.
B:You must have pic's or it didn't happen.

A:Here is a pic of what I saw.
B:But that could have been manipulated.

A: I also have a vid
B: But that could be CGI.

Catch my drift ?

Thanks for that dude! I am only sharing with everyone what I saw, because I knew that this is the place where i could get a proper discussion on what I saw and not just telling my friends and them being like "yeah whatever".

Some sattelites have to alter their direction from time to time. There are sattelites which main purpose is to photograph the earth (google earth, surveilance sattelites, NASA's secret X-37b mini space shuttle).
They all have to do small course corrections. They do that by firing thrusters in a sequence.

There can be anything from 1 to 10 blinks as far as i know.
The blinking is relatively small though, just like a small blinking star.

Looks something like this.

Thank you so much for that! I believe this is almost identical to what I have seen in the past. I wonder if it is the same as the op saw. This is why I love ATS.

Sigh. Sadly, most of the members who read this forum will say exactly that.
"yeah, whatever."

This is not the place to get a proper discussion, I have discovered. The trolls seem to have invisibility cloaks and don't get "MODerated". Just ignore the bashers.

I believe you.
Sounds like it may have been a satellite, but I've never seen one that I know of.
When I posted my first "UFO" experience I was laughed out of the room because what I saw was two orange orbs behaving in clearly communicative and intentional maneuvers to one another.
Oh, but it was Chinese Lanterns ha ha ha ha ha.

Possibly iridium satellite flares

Maybe this is not the right solution, however take a review of the link and let me know if we are talking about something similar here.

If not, no worries, we can move onto the next solutions. (If any others exist).

Constructive, polite and resourceful.

If only more people were like this in real life and on the internet. Star for you

It's a logical fallacy actually.

Absence of evidence is not automatically evidence of absence.

Let's try to broaden our world-view into encompassing possibilities rather than thinking of everything as absolutes.

When we do not know something, we can speculate what possibilities it may be. When we gain evidence and facts, we will know what it is and no longer require speculation to explore the topic.

Please read this informative wikipedia article. Arguments from Ignorance

Argument from ignorance, also known as argumentum ad ignorantiam or "appeal to ignorance", is a fallacy in informal logic. It asserts that a proposition is true because it has not been proven false (or vice versa). This represents a type of false dichotomy in that it excludes a third option, which is that there is insufficient investigation and therefore insufficient information to satisfactorily prove the proposition to be either true or false. Nor does it allow the admission that the choices may in fact not be two (true or false), but may be as many as four, (1) true, (2) false, (3) unknown between true or false, and (4) being unknowable (among the first three).[1]
