Lego Galileo to go to Jupiter aboard Juno spacecraft

Link

MORE than 400 years after he discovered the planet's moons, ancient astronomer Galileo will travel to Jupiter along with some even more ancient companions.

Oh, and they'll all be made out of Lego.

With all of the BS going on in current events ... Here's a mini-respite.

...inspire children...

Enjoy!

Lego Jupiter — the Roman god — and his Lego wife Juno will accompany the famed philosopher aboard NASA's Juno spacecraft when it launches on Friday bound for the largest planet in the solar system.

Why is Jupiter's wife holding a frying pan?

I guess women haven't changed much after all these years.

Thanks. I wouldn't have imagined such an inspiring, upbeat story would have already been posted on ATS =)

Initially, I thought they were built of Legos. Then I'm thinking... what the hell are the alien civilizations going to think when they find that?

Then I saw the pic. It is a pretty cool thing to do, can't add much to the launch package price.

Well .. it is still the Gov you know, I'd say 100k per little lego figure. An extra 50k for the frying pan accessories.
