Between the ages of 13 years and 19 years is a vast of difference. By 19years most people

have some degree of maturity and some ability at handling emotions and situations.

Since when has a 13 year old on the first step of maturity been encouraged to behave like

a 19 year old? That six years IS VERY IMPORTANT in the process of gaining maturity so

WHY
do adults talk about KID'S having sex as far as i am aware it is actually illegal

before 16/17 years? Why is the "I want it and i want it now" attitude encouraged, What about

"Anything worth having is worth waiting for" after all a ripe mature peach is far more tasty

than one plucked long before it's ready!

I don't hold with the 'well everyone does it' attudide parents are supposed to guide their 'Kids'

they need no less guidance in their teens than pre school.

Here in Canada MTV News is an outright assault on dignity and self respect. Hosts are humiliated constantly but show no emotion. Chock full of useless ads filled with subliminal messages as well. All held in an old Masonic Temple.

desperate housewives. it teaches that money is the most important thing ever. love is worthless, but crystalized pieces of coal are the best thing you can ever possess. this sickens me

I've not seen Jersey Shore or Teen Mom, nor do I ever want to so I won't suggest those. I did catch The Secret Life of the American Teenager once, sure there were pregnant teens, teens with kids, seemed somewhat glamorized really. Teens doing bad things to get the guy they want or to ensnare him into a relationship. The worst of it is how bad the acting is, and that it's current proof of how Molly Ringwald's career worsened.

Let's throw Pretty Little Liars in on top of that. First of all, the story line is ridiculous. Secondly, one of the high school girls is in a relationship with her teacher. Ah, ABC Family.

it's as distorted as anything the third reich propaganda ever came up with.
a stew of warped politics, religeous quacks, and the corporate criminals who finance them.
the evil side of the american character, for the whole world to see.

they feed endless poison to those are in love with a lie.

repeating their lies untill their congregation have a comon belief.

i hope to be around the day fox goes bankrupt, i'll celebrate.

for a teenager to believe fox, means that no matter where they go, inteligent people will consider them not worth wasting their time talking to them.

fox news is a conspiracy to dumb down america, to reduce humans to idiotic parrots repeating common stupidities.

a definite danger for a young mind who might not see the evil.

Another vote for Jersey Shore.... it is the worst display of humanity that I have ever seen. I also think that by this show just being on the air, really shows where our country is as a whole.

Another bad influence is The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Glee. Both glorify teenage pregnancy, ridicule the nuclear family, ridicule standard morals and piss all over Christianity.

Interesting issue, Sakoy. Just my opinion, of course, but teenagers ( And some adults...) are drawn to all trashy shows that promote all the wrong attitudes and values, and may assume this is the way to behave. Of course, it's about ratings, so the trashier and more controversial the better, and as a result the improved ratings attract more advertising cash to make even more, even trashier programmes.... I would'nt let any teenager of mine watch this sort of stuff. One other thing, I frequently hear ( I'm in u.k.) about children watching programmes they should not be watching - that's down to parental responsibility. ( Sorry, I digressed there. ) I don't have t.v. so it's not a problem. More parents need to use the " off " button, or better still, get rid of the t.v. and get their lives back...

"Bridalplasty"

It's literally a game show where the winner of the contest gets to choose a free plastic surgery like nose job, lips, breasts and liposuction for their wedding.

It's so absurd

The news. Negative influences like drugs and alcohol are bad and all, but lies and false information are just plain evil.

I don't think the persistent arguments against Fox News are as well founded as many believe. I currently live in Britain and prefer to get an international view of news than to stick with the leftist BBC. Hence I have to turn to Fox News on sky as it is virtually the only American news network available.

I started watching Fox News irregularly about two years ago and, while it does have some glaring discrepancies, I would still put it on a similar level to the drivel spouted by other networks such as CNN and NBC. The only difference between these networks is that, due to the perception of Fox News, Fox puts less effort into hiding their bias and is pretty honest with the viewer on their views. I find this a lot more open than CNN, NBC or HLN who are perceived as "more balanced" and yet continue to spout leftist nonsense on par with the right wing nonsense Fox News emits on a regular basis.

One factor that may have altered my perception is that I have studied Economics to a reasonably high level and can thus analyse the logic of what people claim on these networks to determine its validity. I am also 18 years old and can accurately say that Fox News hasn't corrupted or drained my intelligence. I currently hold an offer at Oxford University to read Politics, Philosophy and Economics which I feel I had help in achieving by watching different styles of news program such as Fox.

the problem with fox is their hypocrisy, such as "no new taxes"

simply means that everyone who ever bought a politician and got themselves a sweet tax deal, will have their raquet protected forever.

and our tax code is a total disaster, tax breaks for agriculture, oil, financial sector(hedge funds), many getting back more than they pay in.

while the country goes broke.

and the fox friendly politicians are the ones(Cantor) protecting the financial sector from regulations, thus garanteeing another financial meltdown.

the agenda of destroying Obama, means that our government is paralized at a time of crisis.

when looking at fox, look at the agenda, their silver tongue has nothing to do with their objectives.

and you probably don't realize the american churches that made an evil stew out of mixing politics and religion.
i doubt they have that desease in Europe.

america is where the secretaries pay a higher percentage of their earnings in taxes than their millionaire bosses.
fox calls the rich, the job creators. lol

C'mon...we all know teens are too busy listening to Rush Limbaugh to catch Fox's so-called "news" programming. haha. I'd say, Fox is the worst influence on our grandmothers...my Nana thinks that "Sean Hannity is a real patriot". It's probably because he's an out-of-the-closet Catholic on air.

The next time I see her, I think I'll remind her they're the ones who want to take away her SS and MC. Well, at least get her to see how they want to take mine away.

As far as teens. I'm not sure what they watch these days. In my day it was probably Friends or Seinfeld, though I can't remember, I never watched network tv. I opted for the older stuff on Nick at Night or Discovery...
