jrsdls,

I think you forgot to post bushes resume as well and don't forget the pictures of the prisoners in Iraq that make a real neat resume for the experience in torturing.

John Kerry and HIS group, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, wrote and distributed a variety of literature alleging that American soldiers in Vietnam were guilty of war crimes. This highly inflammatory example from 1971 proclaims "A U.S. Infantry Company Just Came Through Here!" that it would have committed acts of rape, torture, looting and burning, that "American soldiers do these things every day to the Vietnamese," and urges the reader to end the war "before they turn your son into a butcher or a corpse."

Now he claims he loves the American Soldier, OUR sons and daughters.

That poster is enough to make me never want to vote for Kerry. He is/was #ting on my dad and everybody else that fought over there. I'll waste my vote on Nader thank you.

(a) Djarums yes I think that if a person sets around and smokes dope and then one day jumps up and pulls the right strings so he can run for President then it should be an issue. How many Americans cannot be employed by the federal government because they were arrested for smoking dope over the years. Now look at that guy on the street smoking dope, do you see him, now picture him being in charge of our country during the next large scale terrorist attack.

I am by no means a liberal but if the FBI already investigated Kerry's role with this group why is that not good enough for you?

(b) No it's not. John Kerry gave comfort to the enemy and was never charged with any crime for doing so. We have laws in this country. John Kerry's picture hangs in a place of honor in North Vietnam's capital, what is that?

Here is what he said he did, and after his statement I have posted the law.

Kerry testified before the Senate about his trips to the Paris peace talks, and his "negotiations" with representative from North Vietnam. Kerry made at least two such trips, attempting to "broker" deals with officials from the North, which he on various occasions, attempted to press politically upon the United States. Said Kerry in his testimony: I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government and of all eight of Madam Binh's points it has been stated time and time again, and was stated by Senator Vance Hartke when he returned from Paris, and it has been stated by many other officials of this Government, if the United States were to set a date for withdrawal the prisoners of war would be returned. I think this negates very clearly the argument of the President that we have to maintain a presence in Vietnam, to use as a negotiating block for the return of those prisoners. The setting of a date will accomplish that.

(18 U.S.C. 953) Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

OK so I got you some examples of why I feel John Kerry thinks he's still a member of the VVAW anti-America group.

1 - John Kerry voted in favor of an attempt (not his first) to reduce funding for the SDI (missile defense) program by $700 million. The attempt was defeated (48-50). Senate Vote, S-2355, May 11, 1988.

2 - Kerry voted against bringing to a vote a bill which would have provided for the deployment of an effective missile defense system for the United States as soon as possible. Kerry was successful, and the bill failed (59-41). Senate Vote, S-1873, September 9, 1988.

3 - John Kerry voted in favor of ending the production of the B-2 bomber. The effort failed (57-42). Senate Vote, S-1507, August 1, 1991.

4 - Kerry supported the reduction of funding for the development of small weapons system by $8.8 billion. The effort failed (50-45). Senate Vote, S.Con.Res. 106, April 9, 1992

5 - Despite John Kerry's assertions that no responsible Senator would vote against the war funding, and that he would approve "whatever" it takes to win the war, Kerry voted a resounding "No" on the Iraq/Afghanistan reconstruction package. Fortunately, he was in the distant minority, and the funding was approved in the Senate, 87-12. S.1689, C.Q. Vote #400, October 17, 2003.

Originally posted by DjarumsThe other charges you list were addressed by the FBI whom most Democrats consider a tool of Bush anyways. If they freed Kerry from such allegations... well you get the idea.

I'll say it again. If I were in the company of men and women who set at a meeting and said out right that they wanted to assassinate the leaders of the United States government, you would need to kill me first to keep me from reporting it to law enforcement. Was John Kerry not able to report this information, or maybe John Kerry was in agreement with these people. That is TREASON my brother, no two ways around it, and at the same time is demonstrates John Kerry, if not carrying a weapon, supported it by his silence.

Firebase,

Thanks for the info, I see is a crime to vote against the development of weapons of mass destruction in this country but not in other countries.

Thanks for remind us that US needs all the WMDs it can make to go and invade third world countries like Afghanistan and Iraq.

Thanks to remind us that even when the real thread is in Korea and china US will not dare to do a darn thing about it.

See it is easier to show power on littler nations with a lot of oil.

Kerry has my vote 100%

Firebase, Treasonous traitors like John F. Kerry have an easy out on the treason charge because president Kennedy did not have congress declare war on North Vietnam - no war = no treason in a court case.

However there is another serious law that was definitely violated by Kerry and the VVAW. The legal provision is "18 U.S.C. section 953" against private citizens negotiating with foreign powers.

The Senate testimony and later actions of Kerry, FBI records and news accounts by pro Kerry journalist Gerald Nicosia offer ample proof of Kerry's violation of 18USC sec. 953.

Once again, the war in Iraq is NOT against Iraq. The U.S. needed a place to fight the war on terrorism, and Iraq was chosen. The war in Iraq is actually the front in the war on terrorism, and is clearly a war between the west and those who wish to further the islamofacist agenda, Syria, Iran, and most likely North Korea and China. The battleground is simply on Iraqi soil.

And there is no way, absolutely, that Kerry will change the course of worldly events which are now unfolding. Both U.S. political parties are very aware that the war currently being waged is one in which the west cannot afford to lose.

The institution of fundamentalist Islamic Rule worldwide would surely result in the immediate end of liberties, such as free speech, often taken for granted on this board.

smokenmirrors,

And I will tell you to go and tell the inocent casualties of the freedom war in Iraq that. If you tell them enough times they perhaps will start to believie it.

Let us not forget the innocent casualties of this war throughout the world, and not be fooled into thinking there will not be more. How many innocents must die in America, or Britain, or Italy, or Spain, or the Netherlands, or Australia, (all Western Countries I might add) before one recognizes the war is between Islamofacists and the West? The war has been taken to the heart of the breeding ground of Islamofacists, the current front is in Iraq, and it is a war the powers of the West cannot afford to lose. What is diificult in understanding that?

Marg,
I can tell you for a fact that more people have lost thier lives in Iraq before we went to war than have lost thier lives after we entered Iraq. There are literally thousands of unmarked mass graves in Iraq from Saddam. I have seen the results of saddams cruelty first hand. When you have Iraqi citizens comming up to you and kissing your feet thanking you for removing Saddam leaves a might impressive image in your head.

Will somebody point me to the mass graves they found in Iraq? The hundreds of thousand in graves, I though this was already discuss and the British government agreed it was exaggerated just like the MWDs. Oh, I forgot they are still looking for them well lets give them some more time.

And wars hum...................people die in wars, yes I agree, but Iraq is not a war is a "liberation" and we are not against the "Iraqi people" I think the priorities of this administration are out place.

VUNG TAU, Vietnam -- U.S. Sen. John Kerry, on an
official visit to Vietnam that ended this weekend,
also took a tour into his past.
Kerry first arrived in Vietnam in December, 1968, the
25-year-old commander of a Navy patrol boat sent to
the coastal town of Vung Tau to run search-and-destroy
missions into the Mekong Delta.
He felt like "cannon fodder," he said.

John Kerry shredded proof that that American POWs were still in Vietnam. MIA/POWs you are not forgotten, unless you count John Kerry.

Mike Benge, a POW/MIA activist. Benge was a civilian POW held from 1968 until 1973 by the North Vietnamese Army; he spent 27 months in solitary confinement, one year in a "black box," and one year in a cage in Cambodia. Benge accuses Sen. Kerry of shredding key papers documenting "live sightings of POWs in Vietnam and Laos" during the POW/MIA hearings.

Here is the memo from John McCreay who filed several articles of impeachment against Kerry with the Senate "Ethics' committee, as well as with the BAR in an attempt to get Kerry disqualified as a lawyer for shredding the proof of the POWs still in Vietnam.
