(a) Djarums yes I think that if a person sets around and smokes dope and then one day jumps up and pulls the right strings so he can run for President
then it should be an issue. How many Americans cannot be employed by the federal government because they were arrested for smoking dope over the
years. Now look at that guy on the street smoking dope, do you see him, now picture him being in charge of our country during the next large scale
terrorist attack.

I am by no means a liberal but if the FBI already investigated Kerry's role with this group why is that not good enough for you?
(b) No it's not. John Kerry gave comfort to the enemy and was never charged with any crime for doing so. We have laws in this country. John
Kerry's picture hangs in a place of honor in North Vietnam's capital, what is that?
Here is what he said he did, and after his statement I have posted the law.
Kerry testified before the Senate about his trips to the Paris peace talks, and his "negotiations" with representative from North Vietnam. Kerry
made at least two such trips, attempting to "broker" deals with officials from the North, which he on various occasions, attempted to press
politically upon the United States. Said Kerry in his testimony: I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that
is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government and of all eight of Madam Binh's points it has been stated
time and time again, and was stated by Senator Vance Hartke when he returned from Paris, and it has been stated by many other officials of this
Government, if the United States were to set a date for withdrawal the prisoners of war would be returned. I think this negates very clearly the
argument of the President that we have to maintain a presence in Vietnam, to use as a negotiating block for the return of those prisoners. The setting
of a date will accomplish that.
(18 U.S.C. 953) Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences
or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or
conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to
defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

combine that with the candidates' proposed ideas and platforms and decide from there.
OK so I got you some examples of why I feel John Kerry thinks he's still a member of the VVAW anti-America group.
1 - John Kerry voted in favor of an attempt (not his first) to reduce funding for the SDI (missile defense) program by $700 million. The attempt was
defeated (48-50). Senate Vote, S-2355, May 11, 1988.
2 - Kerry voted against bringing to a vote a bill which would have provided for the deployment of an effective missile defense system for the United
States as soon as possible. Kerry was successful, and the bill failed (59-41). Senate Vote, S-1873, September 9, 1988.
3 - John Kerry voted in favor of ending the production of the B-2 bomber. The effort failed (57-42). Senate Vote, S-1507, August 1, 1991.
4 - Kerry supported the reduction of funding for the development of small weapons system by $8.8 billion. The effort failed (50-45). Senate Vote,
S.Con.Res. 106, April 9, 1992
5 - Despite John Kerry's assertions that no responsible Senator would vote against the war funding, and that he would approve "whatever" it takes
to win the war, Kerry voted a resounding "No" on the Iraq/Afghanistan reconstruction package. Fortunately, he was in the distant minority, and the
funding was approved in the Senate, 87-12. S.1689, C.Q. Vote #400, October 17, 2003.

If they freed Kerry from such allegations... well you get the idea.
I'll say it again. If I were in the company of men and women who set at a meeting and said out right that they wanted to assassinate the leaders of
the United States government, you would need to kill me first to keep me from reporting it to law enforcement. Was John Kerry not able to report this
information, or maybe John Kerry was in agreement with these people. That is TREASON my brother, no two ways around it, and at the same time is
demonstrates John Kerry, if not carrying a weapon, supported it by his silence.
