ATS attracts all kinds characters, are some drawn to ATS because they have deep issues?

There are many web sites as you know, that one can leave comments. I have found this one no different than others. There are always others, it would seem, that have nothing better to do than criticize. I myself have been criticized for my punctuation on this site. I'm the first to admit, its terrible. But I just had to laugh. Maybe if they had gotten past the punctuation. They might have learned something. Or maybe that was their reason for being here. If it was. Their doing a good job

And if I wanted to be graded. I go back to school, and learn how to punctuat, Spell and Type (too) or is it (to). Maybe Two.

My deep issues are unrelated to my ATS visits. ATS is a cure for general boredom. I don't believe most of what I read here and some of the stuff infuriates me for one reason or another. I seldomly (never) post out of anger now, so that proves my deep issues are unrelated to ATS.

ATS is like dating, if you expect to meet someone without baggage then you might have a bit of a disappointment!

Although sometimes it does feel like we have our own ATF'ers in here!

I was drawn to ATS because of two things my dreams that came true and my interest in time travel. Do I have issues? Yes I do but I think that is true of many people right now in our current society. I love to debate and I am highly intellectual in nature. It is hard for me to walk away from a good debate. If I see someone who is plain mean I might point it out but try not to debate with them. I have had a weird life but hey that makes up my unique life experince.

Lol, i nearly fell off my chair, a quick glance at the board would lead one to the affirmative regarding that question.

I and many others are more than happy to provide the appropriate therapy for these poor souls.

Actually I think my issues are coming out tonight. I have to admit I have been a bit off - I called someone an ancient school marm. and I had a tiny little poke at a Murdoch sympathizer. What they said was right but my 'issues' came out to play with their little sticks.

I think ATS is so good because it gives a forum for saying what you think. Surely its because of having issues over what goes on in the world or off it, that ideas get generated. I have learned a lot on here.

I would honestly say though that my earlier comment was out of character and I am now feeling very contrite but I am keeping my deep issues because I like them.

I didn’t think there were people that came here deliberately. I thought we were all bought here by chance.

I spent my entire life with unusual things happening to me and around me. I had no one I could really talk to about things, I’d tell my mother stuff and she would reply, “Yes I know” and leave it at that.

I happen to be here by finally searching to see if these things were happening to anyone else. And each search bought me to a member’s thread or comment to a thread here on ATS.

After lurking for a year I felt the courage to actually contribute to some of the threads.
The ATS members have helped me become a better person within myself, to be more confident and not as shy as I was before.

The members here have helped me understand a lot of things and help me grow.

Not particularly. But it is fascinating getting a glimpse from what and how posters address topics!

Its been fascinating reading posters comments and perspectives on this topic. Agree with many of the slants given, others well they are only opinions afterall. Although I do suspect that some posters held back some. Others on the sidelines probably avoided the topic!!

The question is will the thread influence future postings of those who have read and contributed to the thread? Who knows? Who will admit anyway? Its not important but im sure it will provoke thought!!

I dont think that there will be a rush of ATS members making shrink appointments, Im sure many ATS members have been down that road already! Joke or not?

There was an episode of StarTrek that was quoted by the kid in the movie "Serial" I believe it was.. "In an insane society only the sane appear to be insane" I'm thinking that by the standards of what is judged to be normal or sane I would prefer to be thought of as abnormal or insane... I have been aware of what is going on now being on the way for over 30 years.

I'm watching the news and Bloomberg and honestly, looking at what is going on in the world, if people don't have deep issues with it, then we are still monkeys and not humans. Its our humanity that makes us concerned.

There's so much going on that is either strange or simply wrong that occupies our mental faculties at least having a say about some of it stops people dancing off to the brink.
