Sigh....he doesn't want to legalize drugs...that statement alone makes me assume you only watch MSM...he wants to end the war on drugs and leave that decision to the states...so how is that legalizing drugs? He supports giant corporations...?...that's why they won't donate crap to him? Yes reduce the federal registry, yes reduce the amount of regulation so that I won't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to start a business before I can even make a profit. Deregulating maybe be a double edge sword but at least it gives the little guy a fighting chance. And Ron Paul biggest issue with the economy is the Federal Reserve. You really should go do so research on him before you repeat something you heard off msnbc....no offense.

Actually read some of his stuff with an open mind. Your statement is wrong. The corporate dominated society is dependent on a large central government. Bush and Obama, both corporatist socialists -yes, those words can indeed work together- have created a tag team that has destroy our economy and the last few free aspects of our nation, and have done so using economic management via the Fed and other means. A smaller central government with less power makes it less worthwhile for corporations and other special interests to spend large sums of money lobbying to influence executive and legislative action.

I'll never understand why more people don't take him seriously. He's the only one who makes sense these days. But what can you expect from a population who can't balance their own accounts let alone understand economics in general. Maybe somebody ought to turn our debt problem into a video game. They could get rich while teaching some of our moron population a thing or two.

Actually, if you raise taxes it will decrease federal tax revenue even more. If you CUT taxes it will increase tax revenue to the Government due to less unemployment (more businesses hiring) and more disposable income (because of the newly employed). This has been proven twice before in U.S. History; the first time was when Calvin Coolidge drastically CUT taxes and spending, which ended a major depression and ushered in the roaring 20's, and the other time was when Reagan cut taxes and over 20 million new jobs were created as a result. You philosophy is seriously flawed and unrealistic, and it fails to take basic economic laws and principles into account.

Ron Paul consistently seems to make more sense than anyone else in the political arena, but he will never appeal to the masses that want to be told that everything is ok and that they will be taken care of even at the peril of our entire system.

idk im not going too look at all your posts and see arguements. bottom line is bring troops home quit being or trying to be world police let countries deal with there problems thereself... its been fine without .. quit leavin american troops everywere after a war.. lower spending on military...

threw in a few hard swear words like 'wont take this dumb sheet man',
if the joint chiefs stood beside him and they routed DC bare,
tossed the UN out and turned the fed into a new daycare,
created jobs by building walls to contain our border,
pulled all the troops home round the world and brought some sense of order,
in the end we'd still be here just like we've always been
and how much do you wanna bet, we'd fluck it up again?

You're probably right, but the alternative is complete apathy and acceptance of a world turning from poo to pooier.

I Wish people would do some goddamn research instead of repeating marxist rhetoric about having to raise taxes to pay down the debt. What a friggen joke if you think raising taxes will even make a dent in the debt. MORE TAXES DO NOT BRING IN MORE REVENUES. They bring in less because they stifle expansion of the economy and people work harder to avoid them. Just like making drugs illegal does not cause less drugs to be available but causes more to be available as they become highly profitable. Al Capone publicly thanked the government for making alcohol illegal so he could become filthy rich. Yeah more government regulation that is the answer... Sigh

Ron Paul is the only guy who has any real solutions and the only guy who will actually do what he says he will do! Unfortunately the majority of American people are probably to stupid to vote for him and will continue to vote in the ignorance of the media fog that clouds thier brains...

LP, not to split hairs but as an active and participating voting populace we've been in an apathetic state for 150 years? or so?
We became.......overwhelmed, too busy, greedy, distracted, faster in thought and fatter in laziness,
we bought into and believed the advertising and the lies, and forgot about the maintenance that comes with our type of government,

I hear you, and agree. However, in some circles, and on a higher level, there is a potential awakening. It may simply be the last desperate gasp before the strangulation is complete but I'd rather err on the less pessimistic side ("optimistic" is too strong a word). As the fruition of more than a hundred years of pilfering the citizenry becomes more apparent and the apparatus seems to be rusty and creaking, now just may be a good time to throw a monkeywrench into the works. And the monkeywrench could well be Paul unless he proves to just be another fake.

if banks, GM, etc, repaid the government billions, does anyone know where this money went?

if it's not applied to the debt, or the budget, where does it go?

it came from the taxpayers, but returned to who?

According to official sources, the banks paid the money back or in the process of doing so. I'm not so sure I believe that and if there is documentation, it should be made public (perhaps it is, I admit I've never looked for it before). There should be a full audit of that whole charade, especially pertaining to the trillions given to foreign banks. As for GM, it has never done anything but become a constant drain on the taxpayer to subsidize a failed business no matter how many inspiring Eminem commercials they put on TV (presumably also with taxpayer money).
