Punctuation

Why does ATS remove punctuation from signatures?

I haven't actually noticed if commas are removed - I only noticed apostrophes so far.

Is there a list of punctuation we can't use in signatures?

I'm sure this is probably a stupid question, but its important to me!!

Yes the workaround is here:

Find the punctuation or symbols you want and use that code instead of the symbol or punctuation..

That is a nifty little guide I may use in the future! I was aware of that, but it didn't work for me when I put it in a link... thats what lead me to ask

Otherwise (previous signature) I quietly suffered with "youre" instead of "you're" cause I was too lazy to look it up

Thank you! WIthout the apostrophe, I had a completely different word and a sig that made no sense.

fovevever - no commas either. i did my signature three times, convinced i forgot it until i realized that i was putting it in there and it was being taken back out somewhere in the ether after i hit submit (or save or whatever). sometimes i think if i HAD a brain, i'd probably take it out and play with it :-/

The eyeball is total madness - everytime I see it I get hung up on it for a good 2 minutes

I'm guessing no one knows the answer to this punctuation issue.... so sad....


I did the same thing you did - I went back and edited my signature 3 times before I realized they did it on purpose

I think they call that "gaslighting" ATS, Shame on you!
