What in the HELL are you talking about? Where did you dredge conservative fathers up from? You sound far more hateful than the OP. I highly doubt you even read the first page of this thread. There is no hate for the woman, we think she seems unstable and may be harming her child.

Get a grip and learn how to LIVE, before pretending how others should live according to your pathetic narrow-minded vision of life.

I know how to 'LIVE'. Why is my vision of life narrow minded? Because I find it incredibly wrong to dance sexily wearing a thong in front of ones child? My concern for another human being makes me narrow minded and pathetic?

I read it,and from the standpoint of a mother of three children and someone who has been in early childhood development, I find it to be borderline abuse at the very least possibly emotional abuse.As far as an invasion of privacy I think not,because they are freely putting these video's out there and if the mother has any sense her head she should have known people would judge her.So that leads me to the question does she want any kind of attention she can get?Is this the trend these days any attention is good publicity?Maybe she is a good mother but just an attention wh#*e?.

NO-ONE here is competent to make such an assumption. Are you a certified psychiatrist who spent time with that family which came to the conclusion there exists "emotional abuse"?

if she's mentally/emotionally ill, then it's like any other kind of illness, only it effects your ability to make sound decisions. mentally ill people don't wake up one day and think they will go out and mess people's lives up, they just wake up and their brain continues to malfunction through out the course of the day and whether that includes hurting someone else is completely contingent on how their messed up brains are translating the data they get on that day. and their choices will reflect this. this thread, IF based on a person with a mental illness, is similar to kicking sick people in wheelchairs and blaming them for being wheelchair ridden. it doesn't need to be a public spectacle if you think she's malfunctioning. it needs to be removed from the public arena and dealt with by appropriate medical people.

if she's not mentally ill, then how do you explain what you claim she is doing ?

As far as the thread goes, I think it's quite a compelling example of social behavior... where someone could be in public, in peril, and 10 people stand by and do nothing while 1 person helps. I can't speak for the OP, but I don't think it was his intent to make a spectacle of this. The more people who know about this, the higher the chance the proper channels will do something about it. I hope for the best outcome.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I've watched a few of the videos other then what was in the op.Those in op seem to just be a kid being a kid and really nothing more.However,there's a few out there that while they may be inappropriate,I wouldn't consider abuse. While we know she's been investigated before for it I find it hard to believe that cps (or whoever) hasn't done any follow ups.It seems all you can really do is hope for the best for this kid.

I do believe it was the public arena that brought this to the officials attention in the first place,if she is mentally unstable then the more someone does need to bring it to the attention of someone of authority .If she isn't then shame on her for behaving this way and putting it on the internet,which she did freely.When you put something on the internet it's no longer private,and open to other peoples opinions and judgements.
I must be missing something here this is a social website were people come to share opinions and ideas,I didn't start the thread only added my 2cents and it's obviously not against ats terms and conditions.I don't see the problem with expressing an opinion,nor someone starting a thread about it.

I hear what you are saying. And the youtube comments are certainly something I wouldn't want my child to see, especially if it was directed at him - which is another reason why there is a problem. She put him there. She posted these videos. If this is what she wants the world to see, imagine what happens off camera? Some people I'm sure just want to put their 2 cents in and say rude, raunchy things across the web and youtube. But a lot of people are disturbed by what the mother has put out there for the public, and are spreading the word because they feel it's a bad situation that needs attention.

Edit to add: I used the "10 people stand by while one person helps" as a general example, not specific data.

I worried about the child before the adult. I also never lost sight she had some problems of her own.

If this was an allegation of child pornography or under age sex abuse it would be reported to YouTube, and they (YouTube), presumably would report it to the authorities. If the OP had encountered this kind of child abuse, would he/she be posting these disturbing videos on ATS?

Forcing a kid to be a vegan? Sorry. Thats an adult choice. Kids need REAL food. Hell, let'em be kids dammit! If shes going vegan (not just vegetarian), I would imagine she is also going organic. That aint cheap. Money must not be that much of an issue.

All the other stuff? Well, if it gets too bad for the kid....the mom has to sleep sometime.

As far as CPS taking blue/blondes? yeah, I've heard more than a little about that stuff.

Although there was a black family that I believe had their kids stolen by the govt. They had a little apartment built into a couple of storage units. Everyone was healthy and happy and clean. Go figure. The dad was saving to buy a house and was almost there. If he had smoked a little crack maybe they would still have the kids?
