Fellow Americans,

We the People of the United States of America Demand…

1. That a body be created consisting of the top financial, business, and accounting minds of the U.S. to not only balance the budget but to reduce the expenditures of our government thus making our income higher than our expenses which will create a surplus of income that can be directed at our debt. The findings of this body must be transparent and freely available to the American public. The project must be on a larger scale than the Manhattan project and should create measures in which the government will never again approach or reach over bounds a debt crisis such as this.

2. That the body must find a way to solve this crisis fairly for all Americans. Each and every one of us is responsible as Americans for this country and should be equally responsible for the solution to this debt crisis.

3. That the executive branch (President, the cabinet, the house of representatives, and the senate) of our government stop acting like children and work together to bring together this nation and end this debt crisis.

4. That if for some reason this debt crisis is unsolved and the possibility of Americans not receiving their benefits that were paid for by the people are not to be sent out, that each and every member of the Executive branch of our government not receive a paycheck or payment in any way, shape or contributions towards individuals until the debt crisis is solved and corrected.

5. That the goal of the United States government should be aimed at support of American business and the American people and not at the support of foreign nations or foreign businesses.

6. That the government should in a unanimous voice push for and openly speak to the American people to “BUY AMERICAN” may it be products, services, or anything American.

7. That the government shall promote American businesses and not the sending of American jobs to other countries.

8. That a reinforcement of American Education be put on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

9. That the education system contains a full program dedicated to education on money, accounting, investment, and financial independence.

10. That our personal freedoms and rights given to us under the United States Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights never be violated, abused, questioned, finagled, or loop holed.

11. That by the power invested in us the Citizens of the United States of America by the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights if these demands are not met we the Citizens have the rights of these documents to replace each and every one of you with fellow citizens that will accomplish what is right and just for the American people.

Our goal here isn’t treacherous or in opposition of the United States of America we only tire of the idiotic, childish, partisan politics that you are playing. This is not a game; this is a nation of people. Instead of sitting in your office upset and hurt because you didn’t win the argument take a walk outside and look in to the faces of the people you see on the street. You are playing with their lives and it is time to stop and grow up or the American people will have to take the power back in to their hands and fix the situation for themselves.

Respectfully and Sincerely Yours,

Marcelo A. Tafoya

United We Stand, Divided We Fall!

If others will follow and add their name to this document as our countries founding fathers did with our Declaration of Independence, maybe we too can create real change in our nation.

Feel Free to copy the document and add your name to the bottom and email everyone you know and let them know they can do the same.

i agree with your premise but this is what really needs to happen

www.tomsguide.com...
Comment i read earlier it inspired me to reply to this seeing as a problem and how to fix it

"The Rothschilds have Trillions. Through their corrupt banking system they have robbed countries including the U.S. lol, where do you think all the interest goes? multitudes of investors? I think not. Let not forget David Rockefeller either, no where near the Rothschilds, but way more then apple MS and other combined.

The elite have ALL the money. I say we take it from them, and throw them in Gitmo."

End the FED

Throw the Rothscilds and the Elite Scum in Prison for Enslaving the World Through Debt

Lets put an End to their ZIONIST ZOG MACHINE

I completely agree. I only hope this letter isn't too late. I know you will have a lot of people saying there is more conspiracy behind this and there might be. But all in all we just need this fixed, not bandaged up to spring another leak later.

Government cannot save us. We have to save ourselves from the government. The less involved government is, the better.

Drastic cuts in spending need to be made across the board and most federal government entities need to be disbanded. Food protection, education, pharma etc. need to be handled on the individual state level.

The federal government has a well established history of destroying every program it has ever touched from social security to monetary policy via the "Federal Reserve".

There is an option for real change, but the establishment is preventing people from seeing it.

As an American... I have to disagree with this entirely. The top financial, business, and accounting "minds" in this country are part of the cause of the problem. Sorry, but when we're letting vampires like Friedman and Greenspan in on this, we're setting ourselves up to get sucked dry. yes i know Friedman is dead - remember, vampire.

You want income higher than expenses? Then you need income. You need taxes. You want to cut expenses? Start with that all-consuming black hole in our GDP, the military budget. When we're spending 60% of our money on things we blow up, and our enemies are dudes who travel in groups of ten, armed with old toyotas and soviet-era rocket launchers, something is wrong

2. That the body must find a way to solve this crisis fairly for all Americans. Each and every one of us is responsible as Americans for this country and should be equally responsible for the solution to this debt crisis.

Again, as an American, I disagree - I am not responsible for the gambling addictions on Wall Street, nor am I culpable for the Tea Cultists in Washington striving with every tendon in their flabby necks to force our nation into economic ruin. Make them pay for what they are doing. Forget "fairness" - call for justice

3. That the executive branch (President, the cabinet, the house of representatives, and the senate) of our government stop acting like children and work together to bring together this nation and end this debt crisis.

Congress is not part of the executive branch. I'm starting to suspect you may not be qualified to write something like this. And again, I disagree. There is clearly an element in the legislative branch that is pure and simply "dead weight." They are committed to opposing anything, any time, for any reason, so long as a member of the Democratic party is involves in it somewhere. You cannot "work with" such extremists, people who see themselves on a literally holy mission to destroy. Those who take such positions need to be sidelined; let their districts take the pinch.

Easier way of doing this - the president invokes the 14th amendment, and honors the debts of the United States - including those owed to its own citizens. The money is there. Getting it out to the pwople it's owed to is the issue.

5. That the goal of the United States government should be aimed at support of American business and the American people and not at the support of foreign nations or foreign businesses.

Fair enough

6. That the government should in a unanimous voice push for and openly speak to the American people to “BUY AMERICAN” may it be products, services, or anything American.

You can't buy what's not there. There need to be policies in place to ensure there ARE things that are "made in America" - and I don't mean loopholes like buying everything from china and assembling them in the marinas Islands.

7. That the government shall promote American businesses and not the sending of American jobs to other countries.

While I'll give this another "fair enough" it is in direct conflict with your #1 proposal - the outsourcing craze is the brainchild of the very people you want to put in charge of fiscal policy.

8. That a reinforcement of American Education be put on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Education, period. Not just the sciences, but the arts as well - a nation needs culture, after all.

9. That the education system contains a full program dedicated to education on money, accounting, investment, and financial independence.

Sketchy territory, given how current economics courses are basically political indoctrination courses that have more in common with astrology than anything else. if you mean practical education, rather than voodoo theory, sure, why not. Kids need to know how to use a checkbook.

10. That our personal freedoms and rights given to us under the United States Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights never be violated, abused, questioned, finagled, or loop holed.

They're laws, not holy writ.

11. That by the power invested in us the Citizens of the United States of America by the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights if these demands are not met we the Citizens have the rights of these documents to replace each and every one of you with fellow citizens that will accomplish what is right and just for the American people.

Yeah, maybe you do, but Americans are notoriously apathetic sons of bitches. And let's be honest; America just tried electing a bunch of "fellow citizens" and, well, apparently most of them are total winos. Perhaps I'd have kinder words to say here, if you had known that the executive and legislative branches are different...

Ironically, the accusation of playing partisan politics can mostly be attributed to one of the parties. Amusingly, they think people won't notice when it comes time to vote again.

Interesting letter, though a bit flawed in some of the points that is present:
1) The problem with this, is that the government does listen to the top financial, business and accounting minds in the US, and make a budget based off of that. The federal government has many times ventured into the business sector, however, every time it does what is mentioned it fails, as those in power can not and will not listen or even pay attention to even the most simplest of business principles: Businesses are there to make money. Amtrak, PBS and the US Postal service are trying to make money, but ever wonder why these companies operate at a loss? Cause the federal government can’t keep its hands off of them and have to give their 2 cents on how such is ran. All three of these could be profitable, but due to bad business decisions of congress they operate at a substantial loss, that we the people ultimately pay for. The people that the federal government needs to listen to are the smaller businesses, they know what it takes to get things going, the costs and problems, it is they who need to be giving the advice, cause ultimately it is they that employ the greatest number of people. Redundant if not idiotic laws are what is devastating to business. Combined with a tax code that takes an army of lawyers just to interpret.
2) Ah, but there is the rub, we all pay our taxes, yet have no say in how it is spent. Too many times people are often left holding the tab for things that we have no idea on why we pay. You know like giving money to countries that don’t like us, or trying to over pay for goods and services. I am sure we all remember the 400 dollar hammers that the DOD was purchasing.
3) That actually is a good idea. And while you are at it, make them all 1 term people at all levels of government.
4) The pay of the US federal government and its employees, really do need a paycheck, however it needs to be based on the following: One would be what ever the average of the people that they represent, and 2) If they pay their taxes. After all it turns out the people in the federal government are some of the biggest tax cheats around, perhaps garnishing their paychecks or replacing them would be a start. Get some people who are used to making 8 dollars an hour to sit in their seats would be a better idea.
5) The goal of the US government should be to govern wisely. Government has no business in being in business, they should make laws, and consider the results of what effects those laws will have in the very long run of the country. Too many laws are passed without a thought of what it will be like in 1 year, 10 years, or even 100 years, and then it is a fight to remove bad laws. Time to change that.
6) That is protectionism. We can not compete in a global economy with that kind of attitude, while it may seem noble to do such, the reality is that some of the goods and services that are produced are expensive. However, what the federal government can do is mandate and make said goods to be of top quality and have to last. That way our products would be able to compete with say those from Germany or Japan, and have a better reputation.
7) That too is bad, and it results in trade wars with other countries. However, the federal government can do things to help even the odds, like not giving tax breaks to companies that do ship jobs overseas.
8) But that is where the education is on, science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Just look at India, where the majority of their college graduates have degrees from the Universities and Colleges in the US. Perhaps our focus should not be on pushing the basic education of the children to have technology, rather to be educated. Removal of things like no child left behind, the standardized testing and going back to the basics for the classrooms should be a must. After all, the question should be, why is the pen and books becoming such an obsolete thing of the past, where more and more schools are giving their students computers then abusing the public trust. Lets reverse that.
9) Here again, the question must be asked, what all is required to teach children the basics, as they all need to know how to read, write and do math. Yet of all of the government agencies and departments, of all of the money that is spent from taxes, the education and schools get money and funding from the largest number of places. City, County, State and Federal monies all flow into the school districts and schools like water through a sieve. Perhaps a closer look at what is being taught, and how should be a priority and less focus on if the child knows about computers and more if the child can read, write and do math.
10) Yet there are now problems that have arisen currently that the Constitution of the United States of America never thought of, or expressed, so therefore has to be discussed and altered. The Declaration of Independence is more to explain why we broke away from England and has no legal bearing.
11) The power that is put into play in the documents that are written does not invest anyone with any power really, save that of the federal government on how said government is to be ran and what it can not do. That is it. It does not invest me, or anyone else with the power to do anything.

If anything, it is we the people that need to change to change the government, rather than sit back and do anything. I would point in that a law should be passed that if you do not vote, you can not complain about what laws that are passed. Sitting idly by and letting others speak for you at the ballot, is like saying you just don’t care, and really should not say anything about such until one does.

The people of the United States can't demand SQUAT.

America is a REPUBLIC. Not a Democracy.

The Atlantic and Pacific Naval Fleets of RUSSIA filled up American ports and helped the Union defeat the Confederacy. That's when Democracy ended.

You are not in a position to demand anything whilst you're politicans are in hte pockets of the zionists and that filters down to the judges, police, local officals.

Talking won't work and nor will voting when both sides of the carpet are controled from zionist central.

You can work the rest out for yourselves but i think it has an 'R' in it.

A minority is manipulating the majority for fun and profit. The majority need protection from competition, greed, and commercialism. We can't leave the production and distribution of necessary goods and services to the capitalists. Life’s necessities like water, food, shelter, environment, health care, transportation, and education should be developed and regulated cooperatively by a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. This is protection and infrastructure, and is what our government should be about.

If we won't do this, then cut spending where we are overpaying for protection and infrastructure, and stop spending on the rest. Require the rich to pay their fair share. I know they threaten to leave the U.S. if we do. What harm would that bring?

I agree I am not qualified to write something like this. However, at least I attempted to get the discuss going beyond the norm. As for the Executive and Legislative Branch again I made a mistake, again it was done at 4am in the morning in a rather fast draft. It was never suppose to be a manifesto or even a legislative document. It was designed to allow others that felt the same to express their feelings opinions and comments so that more people could really understand the actual severity of the issue and that they too need to wake up.

I do appreciate all the comments good and critical. I do also agree with a lot of the critical comments again this is a forum in which everything and everyone is questioned as they should be. I do hope that this letter does establish a more open dialog among people that typically don't express their worries, concerns, and views. If people did not express their thoughts then we would still be under British Rule.

Thanks to the great writers like "Thomas Jefferson" we have our documents correctly, cause if our documents were written by men like "Patrick Henry" we would all sound uneducated. If you don't know who Patrick Henry is pick up a book, he wasn't an eloquent writer but he was the voice of freedom which helped move this nation in to existence.

If I misspelled or typed or had any grammatical or factual errors in anyway in this message, I guess you will just have to dismiss anything and everything written by me and every other human being that has ever attempted to step beyond the shadows and become something more than what they are suppose to be according to the powers that be.

Our government grants itself automatic pay raises in 1989.

can someone please tell me where i can work that i can make my own pay raises?

how awesome for them. They are only representing themselves, on our dollars.

and how is that a democracy? we have gone down a dangerous road and it is time to correct our mistakes, stand as one american people, one america....

not as a muslim, or an african american, or republican, but as americans.

act america!! let's not waste the lives of our ancestors and just hand our freedoms and rights away to a government that is only acting in their own best interest. We must practice what we preach and overthrow a selfish, self-serving, government. Anything short of standing together as a people to do what is right and best for our people, is a loss, a shame, and pathetic. If we do nothing, we never deserved our freedoms to begin with.

i think not. Let's act as our ancestors did and stand for our core values, beliefs, freedoms, and rights. Or we will lose them. Maybe not at once, but slowly over time is unacceptable.

we must protect ourselves from a greedy, self serving government. We have succeeded in the past, and if we stand together, we will succeed again. It may not be easy or without issues, but we must fight, rebuild, restore, grow, and flourish once again. We will not go quietly. Not to a national enemy, nor to an oppressive self preserving government. Both are unacceptable.

we are the strongest people in the world - let's act like it! if we don't believe our rights and freedoms are worth fighting for, no one else will either. We must act and lead as an example. Our compatriots should follow and stand with us. And if they don't, maybe they aren't true americans or should live elsewhere. I believe the majority of our people are angry, let's stop talking (like our government), and actually dooooooo something!

it's time, make no mistake. It is time!!!!

join us, your compatriots
