According to the HINDU scriptures, VISHNU, the supreme god, ascends from HEAVEN to EARTH to re-establish dharma or righteousness and destroy tyranny
and injustice on earth.
The Vishnu Sahasranama declares Vishnu as Paramatma (supreme soul) and Parameshwara (supreme God). It describes Vishnu as the All-Pervading essence
of all beings, the master of—and beyond—the past, present and future, one who supports, sustains and governs the Universe and originates and
develops all elements within. Vishnu governs the aspect of preservation and sustenance of the universe, so he is called 'Preserver of the universe'.

The scriptures speak of the 10 Avatars of Vishnu – different incarnations that take the form of divine intervention provided by Vishnu.
In his “Myth=Mithya: A Handbook of Hindu Mythology,” Dr Devdutt Pattanaik, one of India’s most popular mythologists, writes about the Avatars
of Vishnu: “Every time dharma is threatened Vishnu mounts his eagle, the mighty Garuda, and comes to earth ready to do battle. The descents of
Vishnu from Vaikuntha to earth are his avatars or incarnations. The form in each descent is different because the demands of the world each time are
different. The different avatars thus reinforce the idea that rules and regulations that maintain order are not static by nature. They are forged when
the demands of desire clash with the quest for order. As man's understanding of the world changes, desires change and so do concepts of order. Rules
have to therefore constantly adapt themselves. Social stability must not be compromised, yet new ideas must be respected. Vishnu's descents are not
just about reestablishing order. It is also about redefining them."
Scientist, J B S Haldane, observed that the Dasavataras are a true sequential depiction of the great unfolding of evolution.
If you analyse the avatars of Vishnu , you can observe an uncanny similarity to the biological theory of evolution of life on earth.
The first avatar of Vishnu is
Matsya or fish.( According to science, life originated in water).
The second avatar of Vishnu is
Kurma or tortoise.( the evolution of the fish to the amphibean tortoise).
The third avatar of Vishnu is
Varaha or the boar. ( the evolution of the amphibean to the strictly land animal herbivores even though it would
kill other animals to defend itself).
The fourth avatar of Vishnu is
Narasimha or the man-lion. ( the evolution of the land animal to a humanoid form with animalistic
charecterestics, carnivores, the king of the jungle ).
The fifth avatar of Vishnu is
Varaha or dwarf ( the evolution of the animal-man to purely human in dwarf form, maybe more of a hobbit or
similar short being of the time).
The sixth avatar of Vishnu is
Parashurama ( the evolution of the dwarf to a physically well-developed and ferocious warrior, man with an axe,
early tool usage).
The seventh avatar of Vishnu is
Rama ( the evolution of the ferocious warrior to Rama, who is considered as the ideal man or the maryada
purushottama and the embodiment of morality , ethics and righteousness also who fought on foot with bows and arrows).
The eighth avatar of Vishnu is
Krishna ( the evolution of Rama , the ideal man to Krishna who is considered as the ideal yogi, the superman who
is known for his manysidedness and allrounded character. Krishna delivered Bhagwad Gita on battlefield of the Battle of Kurukshetra to Arjuna. The
battle was fought on chariots, using what some considered atomic and nuclear weapons).
The ninth avatar is
Buddha ( the enlightened one, in this age when the true devotion to Vedas was replaced by empty rituals. Who believe in
Peace rather than war and believes in the kindness and moral values of humanity).
So the question is, WHO OR WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE TENTH and final AVATAR??
Is it a higher being leading us up the pyramid of evolution? An E.T.?
