Some things are so rediculous that it will leave you speechless, and this next move, and the reasoning behind the bombing of journalists is as rediculous as it can get.

NATO bombed 3 satellites broadcasting Libyan state TV, "The Libyan Broadcasting Corporation issued a statement saying three employees were killed and 15 wounded in the strike" (#).

The explanation given by NATO is so ridiculous that it made me speechless, I have nothing to say about this explanation, seriously, absolutely nothing, I thought about what I would say in this thread, but I will just leave you with their statement.

"NATO silences Gadhafi's terror broadcasts".

Funny - "Libyan state television continued to broadcast, however, and early on Saturday was showing a repeat of a political talk show from the previous evening" (#).

Now I want to hear what ATS believes regarding the bombings. Why did they bomb the Libyan state TV? Do ATS members believe NATO was trying to silence Qadhafi's terror broadcasts?

I seem to recall that knocking out state run TV stations was a necessary precursor to the invasions of Grenada in '83, and Panama in '90, and Israels in 2006 with Lebanon.

Something to do with controlling the flow of information for psyop purposes and to retain the element of surprise.

ETA do you have a link to the story?

Ghaddafi has a long history of televising executions so yea I could see why they would try and shut that down. But really they need to go after the source, which is Ghaddafi, and not the tools he uses.

Hey, Kro. I was expecting you.

What do you think they should name the invasion to kill that terrorist overlord?

Operation: World Peace

Operation: Casus Belli

Operation: Team NATO World Police!

UNSC 1973 was voted on the basis of the implementation of a 'No-Fly Zone' only employing 'all necessary measures' but only in the context of enforcing said 'No-Fly Zone'. It specifically prohibits the use of ground forces and enforces an arms embargo, blocking the sale of weapons to either side of the civil war.

More than 8 British SAS and 26 US troops have been captured in Libya - these are just those we can be 100% certain are there, I'm willing to bet there are hundreds, possibly thousands more.
NATO seniors have been filmed talking with the 'rebel' troops inside Libya.
France has openly admitted to selling arms to the 'rebels' - a clear breach of the UNSC resolution - a legally binding document.
Several nations have dismissed Libyan diplomats and ambassadors - I thought this was a No-Fly Zone, no?
Several nations now openly recognize a new government in Libya... this has nothing to do with protecting the civilian population.
Tomahawks have hit many civilian targets, including hospitals - confirmed.
Gadhafi's grandchildren have been murdered in cold blood.
Now, journalists seem to be legitimate targets and what next?

Do you think it is a legal war? If so, what are your justifications?

Guess which document I pulled the following from:

"Further condemning acts of violence and intimidation committed by the Libyan authorities against journalists, media professionals and associated personnel and urging these authorities to comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law as outlined in resolution 1738 (2006),"

Murderous hypocrites.

Here is NATO's statement about it.

Here you have that news on a site that presents itself as "a voice for free Libya".

I saw this news this morning on Euronews.

Thanks! Now I finally see there are links in the OP, they are just hard to see.

It's interesting what they say about being an illegitimate target. They claim it is a psyop to control the use of the rebel leader's death as a tool for propaganda by Gaddafi. Seems he was killed by a hardcore islamic movement on the rebel side, which is what Gaddafi was claiming all along.

Or they need to protect the civilians because watching TV makes them kill each other.

So they bomed a civilian taget saying that gaddffi was inciting trouble well if that was true then they would show us this trouble he was creating and let him shoot himself in the foot.

we are getting nothing but lies from the zionist media and they are desperate to stop people seeing the pro-gaddffi protests and pictures of kids being killed by NATO bombs.

These zionists know the power of propaganda and no one is as good as these zioniosts are when it comes to false flags and this so called revolution was started bt MOSSAD/CIA agents,

Just how stupid do they think we are or do they think we only get news from Fox news or something

So when ATS posts executions of Pakistani police by angry clans, do you think ATS should be bombed?

That being said, how do you suppose Qaddafi is the source? Last I checked Libya was ruled by Libyans and not Qaddafi. The West continually tries to kill Qaddafi because he is the master mind of the progressive governing system of Libya. Qaddafi has no official post in the Libyan government, he has influence because he is the revolutionary leader (hence loved and respected by Libyans), but that doesn't mean he holds official power. Do you think Mandela runs South Africa because he was the leader of the revolution against the apartheid?

Every news source has continually made this claim that Qaddafi rules Libya, including PressTV and Al-Jazeera which we looked for alternatives. Looks like everyone is out to destroy the Libyan governing system, because it doesn't resemble any other governing system in the world, and maybe because those in control fear that if Qaddafi's ideas come to reality (like abolishing the government), they would become like any other ordinary people and won't be above the law and won't be able to dictate whole countries anymore.

That is how I see. This assault against Libya is an assault against an idea, they want to destroy it because it is so appealing to Africans who have suffered for so long.
