Swiming through a sea of doubt,
Has become of our age,
I struggle to find that treasure,
Whereby I buy my name.
I define myself through knowledge,
Define my life through my strife,
With that small piece of treasure,
Which may alleviate my plight.
The treasure is found,
My struggles are saved,
I open the golden box,
But nothing remains!
What did I find,
Where does this go,
On top of the rubble,
In that melting snow?
But now I find an old tire,
Behold it contains my key,
I remember who I am,
As I forget the same.
I awake to find a new day,
Floating in the waters afresh,
But when does it end,
That perpetual swim.
