Please help me you lovely people, im gonna cry in a minute.

Firstly im using my daughters emachine netbook, i have exactly the same one. Well last night, it started typing the wrong letters and even some numbers kept poppiing up. Ive blown the keyboard (purely in the interests of hygiene you understand), ive turned the number lock on and off, still nothing. I cant even get into the bloody machine because i password protected it, and rather than recieving my very normal password word my computers probably getting something like bumcrack and is refusing me access.
I love my pc and i love ATS please help me,

Sounds like you need a new keyboard.

Haven't had that happen to me on a laptop, but have had it happen on many a desktop keyboard.

When you press A and it puts P, you need a new keyboard.

connect an external keyboard via usb and try that ?




hold down FN key and then try typing...

www.fixya.com...

You could attempt to turn it on and back off again and see it that fixes the problem. If not try a reformat. If a reformat doesnt fix the problem you need a new keyboard.

Anyway, some keyboards have something called a "10 key function" that replicates the right hand number keys on a big keyboard

Sounds to me like that might be stuck on so try the advice here

Could you plug in an external keyboard into it?
Edit: Wow, sorry, I completely missed that someone already said this at the very beginning. Anyway, may I second that notion? USB keyboards are not expensive, and maybe you can just grab one from someone else's computer to try it out and see if if works first.

NO Davey boy its been a while, il check out the link and come back to you. I cant see how i could need a new keyboard as this netbook is less that 6 months old, perhaps its been ATS's to death.

All i know is that my 27 inches of pure mac magic piss all over my 2 pc's... and looks sooooo much better in my office
