He's lying! It was me, I was the one that faked it.

I don't have any proof of this, but neither does he...

sorry im poorly educated in the search non search friendliness of ATS.. but still interesting enough. I remember seeing this when i was in high school on sightings tv show and it looked fake then im surprised they did not debunk it before

Note that the article said that UFOs were seen by hundreds. With one public debunking of one pic, they essentially make all those other (possibly valid) sightings irrelevant. All it takes is to debunk one (or fake a debunking) and in the eyes of an easily deceived public, the rest may as well be debunked as well.

I share the sentiments of jtap66. I don't get this. So, the picture may have been faked, but what about the thousands of civilian witnesses, as well as radar info, testimonies from military personnel and the high ranking Belgian Air Force officer who claimed it flew over himself and his wife? Not to mention the jets that were scrambled? I'm willing to concede that the photo is fixed, but if it turns out the ENTIRE case was a fabrication, I'm turning my back on Ufology. I just don't understand the world anymore. I can only hope this isn't the case that makes me think I've been taken for a fool for all these years...
