The first thing you want to do is arm yourself with basic math, science and social studies skills. It seems that without those you can easily fall into a group that lacks even grade school education, and they seem to do the most harm to this subject (they are also very easy to fool and turn into useful idiots).

So the real question is are you going to be a part of the problem, or a part of the solution (and the solution in this case is common sense, reason and logic).
