Ok this vid is apparently filmed in Canada, shows a very large circular object up in the clouds or mebbe even a part of the clouds. the object is filmed for several minutes, then a clip of a news report comes in to give possible explanations from "experts". I dunno, it does have a very unusual shape and color for a cloud, especially when you look at the other cloud cover in the nearby area in the shot. It was filmed from a moving vehicle but is actually a pretty stable picture, I generally dont buy much into this sort of claims, but to me this object is just plain wierd. Has anyone else seen cloud formations like this?

www.youtube.com

and yes Im aware that the vid being posted from youtube has probably been seen before, I havent and so I thought id throw it up and either be shot down or at the very least given an explanation.

It has been explained, and properly. Sorry guys, just a cloud. A rare one, but still just a cloud. The non-technical name for them are "hole punch clouds". Google to learn more.

Punch Hole Cloud - a recent phenomena unexplained. Search Denver Airport and Punch-Hole to read about scientists flying into one over Denver.

It was never dubbed a punch hole cloud:

But meteorologists rejected theories of the supernatural calling it an optical effect.

The Moscow's weather bureau said several weather fronts had passed through Moscow as the sun shined from the west to cause the effect.

A spokesman for the bureau said: "This is purely an optical effect, although it does look impressive.

"If you look closer, you can see sun rays coming through that cloud. Most likely, the sun was setting when the video was being made.

They claimed it was just an optical effect due to several storm fronts. Quite possibly true... but goes to show how fast someone will dismiss something as a meteorological effect, even if they are not right.

No one is testy... just tired of people not taking a few minutes to research what they present.

And you can't use "I'm a new member" as an excuse

Original report

Google "Ring Clouds" and look at pictures

Another one in Romania

They do not call it a UFO cloud for nothing.
Perhaps a ship in hover might cause the cloud buildup.

Perhaps understanding the nature of the ship causing the cloud formation would
be sufficient to tell the meteorological crowd they are wrong.
