I've surrounded my home with garbage can lids in the odd chance it will attract UFO's. No luck to date, but the neighbors think I'm a bit off. I've even tried covering them in Christmas tree ornaments, but no luck there either.

The mention of foil to me just reminds me of Tesla putting foil on a wooden
globe to make his 300' high capacitor. Sorry about that but contemporary
lore is just so gone the wrong way.

Obviously the use of the tin hat means the wave that goes through everything
has not been thought of for a hundred years at least.
