Wayne...then I suspect that you are seeing what I am seeing.
We really are going to try and get some good video.
Thank you for your response. We can't imagine how nobody else is seeing these. We have asked a few people and they just look at us like "what???"

Radar stations like all machinery, break down from time to time. Takes some time to repair depending on the problems found when the tech gets on site. We have had a few that had all failed within a few hours of each other but then the techs get sent out almost immediately to fix the problem.

Especially when you have large electrical storms....those can wreak havoc on electronic systems. especially with a direct hit. I would bet that these site will be back up and running within a few hours or a day at the most.

As for the people seeing a ball of light in the sky.....seeing that it was stormy, im betting it was just ball lightning they saw...but without a photo or video its hard to be absolutely sure..but thats my 2 cents anyways.

Also, check your countries main weather information provider as you can find radar, satellite and lightning detection for your region like I can here in Canada with ours.

Environment Canada

if you look at ours and click the radar/sat link it also shows lightning detection. As for the satellites it lets you choose from all around North America. Use medium, then set it to display all images and press play. It will then go into animation showing you what the weather patterns were like in your area.

If you look at the lightning detection network you can see that there has been major activity in Southern Canada stretching into the Northern USA
