I've seen the video where these pictures are linked together... maybe on ATS? I'm not sure. But look for it - it is well worth it. Just phenomenal.

ETA... he has put up his videos at vimeo.com...

Just so awesome and stunning. Thanks for those pics. Really great find. I miss seeing the stars. There's too much light pollution in my neck of the planet.

This is the Daily Mail being an ass for the millionth time.

These are nice camera time exposures. They were not 'seen with naked eye'.

Hey there SieMa and welcome to ATS,

Lovely photos and thank you for sharing them here ... I have friends who live on the Hebridean Isle of Skye (Scotland) ... and I have seen the Milky Way just as clearly as that when I have been there ... truly a spectacular sight and I feel so honoured to have seen it in the flesh (so to speak).

I am afraid I must gloat just a little bit.

Since I live almost 6 miles from the nearest street light and over a half mile from any outdoor light but my own, I get to see views much like this every night. It really lets you know just how small we really are.

Some nights it seems I can reach up and touch some of these stars.

Spactacular !!!
