The tory government of 1957 with it's infamous Duncan Sandys white paper on defence is the single biggest act of self-inflicted destruction ever wrought on the UK's defence forces and military manufacturing base.

The Tory Governement of 1957, that was many many decades ago, why not go back further and blame it on the Romans

.....oh, and it turns out the UK Typhoons are getting the cannons, they just won't be loaded.....which means they could be if the need ever did arise.

They won't be trained in how to use the EF cannons, cannons that our pilots arn't trained to use, wow another bright idea from the Labour Government

- well "lol" all you like but you are either interested in the truth of the matter or you are just spouting silly party politics.

The most serious self inflicted damage ever done to the UK's defence industry - by far- was done by a tory government. Fact.

And the most serious point in all of that was the long term damage it did to the industry.

- For now that may be so, but things have a habit of changing, just like the original ideas over the guns themselves, right?

Bush increased military pay as of 2003 all service members received a minimum base pay raise of 4.1 percent.

With another at least 3.7 percent raise to all military members in 2004.

I didnt mean to make it seem like you did or didnt. I was just asking if that was one of the lies you were talking about.

I was trying to make the point that Bush didnt cut military pay. He raised military pay.

My bad if that came off wrong
