Greetings folks,

I've been here for some time now but I am starting to get a little more involved so I thought perhaps it was decent to say a proper hello.

From Scotland I am, unemployed at the moment, a master of sitting doon I am. I work on other projects and also music.
I enjoy most things I read here, the imagination of folks is fantastic. If anything some of the stories are just good reading.

I will need to hit the help forums though because my date thing is wrong. Everything that has a date on it says 19/03/2011, I am not sure how to sort this out as it's hard to work out when threads were posted etc. Also it says I registered on the 19/03/2011, but I am pretty sure I have been here way longer than that.

So with all that said I wish you peace and all that madness, long live the tin-foil pants and rock on!!

Iain (SIB)

Hi Iain, nice to meet you! I haven't been here that long, just getting more active recently.

But haggis, man? That stuff is disgusting! Don't you be bringing that stuff in here, okay?
The bru is welcome tho.....

hahaha, that pic cracks me up, armless bob?

Well indeed the buckfast was a part of me a few years back but now it's all tea and medication.
Haggis, lol, it's fantastic, with some brown sauce and some mash, now we're talking, haha, sometimes it's dipped in batter and deep fried into a stodgy, soggy mess, by jings chip shops are marvelous things.

Thanks for the welcomes folks, not sure how much threads I will do as there are far more better folks at doing them than me, and I heard someones advice one day, "If you find something to post, it's probably already posted" har har har chuckle.

Indeed it's nice to be welcomed.

Welcome to ATS. I hope that you enjoy your time here and remember to put your tongue in your cheek from time to time. As for the Haggis, even as a Sassenach living abroard, I surely miss a wee slice now and then, washed down with a good glass of Dallas Dhu.

Welcome once again.

This should help.

Don't bother with screen shots. You need to change the settings on your ATS account. Go here. Change the setting for Date Format. If you have a fixed date here, you will get the problem you described. Change it to say i.e. mm/dd/yyyy, dd/mm/yy. Btw, I use "j M Y" (without the quotes), as I prefer that format.

Then set your timezone and click submit. Btw, after you have clicked submit, ignore it if it says that your timezone is wrong. You can only set your timezone here, but you can't see what your current timezone setting is. To check if you have the correct timezone, take a look at a recent post and see if the time matches your time.

Hope it helps

Many thanks to you for that, I shall get onto this now.

Thanks for your continued hellos, rock on and all that.

EDIT, wow, I will now slap my forehead with the palm of my hand several times. That was just too simple and what a silly mistake I made, hahaha.

Peace

lmao. Don't feel too bad about it.
This isn't the first time I've quoted that post, because someone else was having the same problem. I'm sure there have been plenty of others too.
