So to summarize our findings and for those members who don't like to read prior posts, here we have a detailed picture sketch of what the cloud formation was of...now, can you spot the alligator head?

*With the photoshop one it doesn't seem so Disney anymore*

So then about 3 minutes into our entire observation, a really exciting event happened that really shocked both of us. The cloud turned into the head of a reptile, presumably an alligator's head! I have never before in all my years looking at clouds experienced this once in a life time occurrence!

isn't it great to have that jelly beneath our skulls? that little understood thing that excels in detecting patterns in chaos...
that reptilian, my friend, was in your brain

I see it, but so what?! I have seen many different things in the clouds, it all depends on what your imagination is up to at the time.

Yeah, that's the point! Everyone has different experiences and this experience was unique to me and I wanted to share it with ATS members. To see a transformation of wispy clouds turn into a reptile head in a matter of about 3 minutes was the experience for me. I didn't plan on seeing anything at the time....it just happened to turn out that way

I made a couple of attempts; I'm on my laptop (no mouse, only a touchpad) so they look pretty sketchy...literally.

Probably against the T&C to post "naked sky women" pictures lol.

Yeah, that would be a violation of the T&C...but I am sure ATS members would have seen worse on here

I am just perplexed as to how the mind functions in terms of creating figures from cloud shapes. I see one thing and you see another. Is there any logical explanation for this???

Sure. We all perceive the world differently for a variety of reasons: genetics (they way our brains are wired to interpret stimuli); past experiences that shape the way we see things; and present mood (ie. if we're relaxed, happy, or tired, afraid, etc).

I'm an educator at the post-secondary level, and it never ceases to amaze me how people react differently to the same situations. Sometimes I'll present a concept that, to me, is very straight-forward and simple; yet there's always someone in the room who views it from a totally different aspect. To me they seem "wrong" yet I know to them I am "wrong" in my thinking.

It's what keeps our species interesting I guess.

Why do the craziest and absurd posts with no proof or evidence, always get a high number of S+F ?

Love the pics

That formation is way too distinct to be a coincidence.
